The country mouse has a lovely house in a tree. The tree is situated in a cornfield. The country mouse eats corn daily, having it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The countryside is pleasant and peaceful. All the animals play games in the field and enjoy each other's company.

The country mouse has a friend, who is a town mouse and lives in the town. The country mouse writes a letter to the town mouse, inviting him to visit. He packs his suitcase and goes to the country to see his friend. The country mouse is delighted to see his friend and says, "Welcome to the country, my friend! You must be tired and hungry. Let's have lunch!" The two friends head to the kitchen where there is corn for lunch. "I love corn!" says the country mouse. "Do you like corn?" The town mouse responds, "No, I don't, but I can eat some because you can cook it for me." The town mouse only eats a small amount as he doesn't enjoy the food.

After lunch, the country mouse wants to show the field to the town mouse. "Let's go for a walk!" he suggests. They step outside and stroll along the cornfield. The grass is tall and damp. The town mouse spots a large cow in the field and asks, "What is that?" The country mouse chuckles and replies, "Ha! Ha! Ha! That's just a cow! It's eating grass. Don't worry."

After dinner, the two mice sit in the field and have a conversation. "It's very quiet and dark in the country at night," says the town mouse. "The birds, the rabbits, and the farmers are all asleep. The country can be quite boring." The country mouse replies, "I'm never bored here." Then, he asks, "What can you do in the town?" The town mouse responds, "You can go to the cinema. You can visit museums. You can go shopping. You can eat pizza, spaghetti, and cake!"

Suddenly, the town mouse says, "My dear friend, I don't like the way you live. Come to the town. Come and stay with me for a few days! We can have a lot of fun there, and I would like to show you my way of life."

"OK," says the country mouse, "It sounds very exciting. I really want to see the town." The two friends spend the entire night talking and planning their trip. The next morning, they board a bus together and head to the town.

The town is indeed noisy. There are numerous cars bustling about, and the streets are filled with people. There are numerous shops and cafes, and towering skyscrapers can be seen as well. The people are shouting, the dogs are barking, and the cars are honking their horns.
