Peter the Perplexing
Purple Parrot was lost on
his jostling journey to find
a new home. He was as
sad as a kid with peas on
his plate.

Peter the Parrot was as purple as a plump plum, as
smart as a scholar, and as shy as a hidden hermit crab.

Peter found a dull dismal rainforest to live in. He
explored the island to find fun friendly friends. He finally
found dull gray parrots playing parrot in the middle.

They gallantly greeted the strange parrot squawking.
Peter the Perplexing Purple Parrot didn't squawk back.
He was enormously embarrassed about being as purple
as a plump plum around the gigantic group of gray
parrots.

Peter the Parrot ran ridiculously fast away from the
other parrots. He perched himself on a little likable
lemon tree where he sadly spied on the gray parrots.

"They probably think that I'm particularly and purely
peculiar," thought Peter on his perch thinking about the
other parrots.
"At least they don't know my most mortifying
secret."

Peter the Parrot did have a perplexing problem that
wasn't particularly purple. Peter's isolated issue was
that he couldn't squawk, he could only...

Peter want
a cracker.

talk!

He willingly wondered what the other parrots would
think if they knew he could talk. They would probably
loudly laugh at him, taunt and tease him, and absolutely
annoy him.

Peter overly occupied himself with his fears and
absolutely avoided the other parrots.

One day a parrot named Polly asked Peter if he
wanted to play a game with her and her parrot party.
Peter was as perplexed as possible and didn't know what
to do.
