Football(literally foot ball),sport is one of the world's most 

popular and most loved games.Football is a game, were a 

team of 11 players agreed to try to capture the opposing 

team,s goalkeeper and keep theirs.

Football is played on natural or   artificial grass in the field.Maximum length 

of the field should be 182,88 m,and the maximum width should bee 109,728 

m.Sometimes the games, we use a 100-111, 69-75 m size field. The world's 

largest football stadium is May Bay stadium in North Korea, up to 150000 

spectators

Football is played all over the world more than 240 million people(the 

approximately every 25 th resident), there are 1.5 million teams and 

300000 clubs.

Types of football have been in the 

Old World-wide. In Ancient 

Greece,in Ancient Rome, Japan, 

China

Modern football was originated in 19 century by the South England's 

privileged private schools. That schools were developed football rules. First 

football club was Shaffield United(1855-1957),and the first national 

championship(1863) was founded in England.

In 1904 founded 

FIFA(Federation 

International de Football 

Associations).First 

international meeting was 

held in 1902(Argentina vs 

Uruguay). From 1973 started 

UEFA Cup regular meetings.

Duration of football is 90 

minutes (45 minutes for 2 

half and 15 minutes 

interval)

The games runs by the ref . In 

serious violations he shows a 

yellow card.

In lot of gross violations ref shows 

red card and a player removed from 

the field.If a player gets 2 yellow 

cards consecutively are also 

reemoved from the field.
