Hi! My name is Waddles and I live in the Arctic!
In the Arctic, there are a lot of different
animals like penguins (that's me!), walruses,
seals, and polar bears. But for this time,
we are just going to learn about the polar bears. Are you
ready to begin our journey?

Look! We have spotted our first polar bear!
Meet Kiko, she will tell you more about where
she and her family live.

Hi Waddles and new friend! I
live in the Arctic but other polar
bears also live in Canada, Alaska,
Greenland, Russia, and Norway!

As a penguin, I don't know a lot about being big,

so I will let Kiko's friend tell you all about that.

Hey Whopper! Can you
tell my friend about how
your size?

Hey Waddles! I like the new tie!
I would love to tell your new friend
about my size. Male bears can weigh
anywhere from 775 to 1,200 pounds!
A few even weigh more than that.
Female bears, like Kiko, weigh 330 to
650 pounds.

Wow! I could never imagine being so big,
could you? We have learned so much already
but there is so much more so let's keep moving! I
think I see one of Kiko's cubs, Maya up there! Her
other cub, Paw, must be practicing to hunt!

Hi Waddles! Have you seen my
brother? He ran off again. Did
you know that even though I am
white, I have black skin? It
matches my black tongue!

You learn something new everyday! I did not
know polar bears had black skin, did you? I
wonder what else we don't know about
polar bears, let's go meet up with Whopper
again to find out!

Waddles, how many different
ties do you have that match
that tuxedo of yours? It is beginning
to turn night here so it will get
colder but I am not worried.
