Chapter 1: I Have To Train

"Nova, what are you doing here so early?" asked Luna. "I'm training," I answer. "No. You are not training this early. We have three hours until training starts and I am not gonna let you waste that precious time."

"It's not your decision," I say, "I get to choose what I want to do." "Nova," said Luna, "You train too hard and too much. Sometimes you need to let loose a little bit." "No," I say, "That's how people get soft. And I'm not gonna get soft."

"Well I'm just fine being 'soft'," said Luna. "Yeah, well that you're choice, not mine," I say. Luna sighs. "I worry for you, Nova, I really do," says Luna

"I know you do," I say, "But if I want to be a warrior like the rest of my family, I have to train. Every day, hour, and minute that I have I have to train."

"Okay, Nova," said Luna, "If that's what you want, go for it. I'm not gonna stop you." "Thanks, Luna," I say continuing to train.

Chapter 2: War Is Coming

I was finally done training when an alarm went off. I immediately go into defence mode. What was going on? I run outside and I see a big ship hovering over our planet.

"What the-," I say. All of a sudden I see warriors coming out, all in armour and holding their guns. I see the General and run up to him. "General," I say, "What's going on?" "War is coming," he answered. "War," I say, "With who?" "With the Nomicles," the General answered, "Now, we need every force we have including the trainees," said the General, "So go get armour and a gun." I nod and run to the gun room.

War was coming. Of course the Nomicles are the ones we're fighting.

We've been having a feud with them for years.

As I was getting ready, more trainees start to come in and get ready. Luna runs up to me and asks, "Nova, do you know what's happening?" "The General said that there's gonna be a war," I say, "And we're fighting in it."

"But we're only trainees," said Luna. "They need every force of every kind. Even the trainees," I say. Just then, I see a boy with blue hair walk in. He was no trainee. No. He was an official warrior. "Okay, trainees!" he shouted, "Let's go!" We all start to run outside. This was it, this was the day I was looking forward to. To fight for the glory of Umbre. "Okay," said the General, "Colten, you take Luna, Rosie, Joshua, and Nova." Oh, great I'm with blue haired boy. "Okay," said Colten firmly, "Follow me." I was hoping I was gonna get orders from the General, but Colten will have to do.

Even though he was annoying. At least I got to be with Luna. So, that's a plus.

Chapter 3: A Little Problem

Colten leads us to a spaceship, and we march in it. When we all got on board everyone went to the upper deck, Colten grabs my arm, and I look back at him. "The General has told me that you're the best trainee," said Colten, "I'll be expecting a lot from you."

I nod. Then I climb upstairs to the upper deck. When Colten got up, he went straight to the control centre while we just hung around. "I suggest you hold on to something," said Colten. Everyone grabbed onto something, except me, instead, I went into the control centre with Colten.

"What are you doing?" he asked. "I'm sitting," I answered. "No. I need you back there with the others," said Colten.

"Make me," I say. Colten looks at me. He stares intently into my eyes, I do the same. Colten finally took his gaze off of me and huffed. That's how I knew I won the battle.

We then started to take flight. Once we got high enough, we then zoomed into the beautiful night sky. Everything was blurry at first then later on, everything became clear again. There was so many galaxies! "Whoa," I say in amazement. "First time?" asked Colten. "No," I say, "This is my twenty-fifth time." Colten chuckles. Did I just make Colten, a hardcore warrior, laugh?

I didn't know I was funny. But who knows, maybe he just has a dry sense of humour. "Okay, trainees," Colten began, "Get ready." "Ready for what?" a girl with pink hair asked. "To board the enemy's ship," explained Colten.

Oh, yes! Now we're getting to the good stuff.

Just then, something hit our ship. Something big. "What was that?" asked a boy with teal hair. "Something hit us," responded Colten, "Someone needs to go check it out." "I should," said the teal-haired boy, "Besides, I am a tech genius."

He then looks at Luna and the girl with pink. I think he was trying to impress them, but I knew by the look on Luna's face it wasn't working. But I think it was working on the pink-haired girl. "Okay, Joshua," said Colten, "Can you just check it out?"

Joshua saluted. I think he was making fun of Colten. He should know not to make fun of a warrior. Because then you're in big trouble, and I mean fist-to-face kind of trouble. And you don't want to be in that situation.

Joshua, as Colten called him, came back blank-faced. "Uhh, Colten, we have a little problem," he said, "We got hit by a laser and

 I don't think I can fix it." "Okay," said Colten, "I'll find somewhere to land where we can hopefully fix it." Colten starts to lean the ship towards Planet Trenn.

Chapter 4: We Got Company

When Colten landed the ship, we all got out. "Show me where we took damage," said Colten. "Yes, sir!" exclaimed Josuha marching to the end of the ship. Now I could tell Colten was annoyed by Joshua mimicking the army.

I giggle. "So what's your name?" said Luna to the pink-haired girl. "Rosie," she said, "And who's that girl?" "I'm Nova," I say. Rosie smiled. "So are you a warrior?" asked Luna. "Oh, no, no," said Rosie, "I'm a power keeper." She then starts to levitate a rock. "Impressive," admitted Luna.

"What about you guys?" asked Rosie. "We're both warriors," responded Luna.

"Oh, that's so cool!" said Rosie. Just then, we see Joshua running towards us. "We got company!" he shouted, running away. Coward. Then again, he is only a tech guy, so I'll give him grace. Then I see Colten with a gun shooting at the "company" as Joshua put it. I then run back into the ship, grabbed the biggest gun then ran over to Colten.

He didn't notice me when I was standing right next to him so I said, "Hey." I wiggle the big gun. Colten stops shooting, grabs the big gun then says, "Thanks." He then continues to shoot. I run back over to Luna and Rosie and say, "Rosie, do you think you could create a big wall blocking the enemy's fire?"

"I can try," she said. Rosie runs over to Colten and then starts to create the biggest wall I had ever seen. "Good job, Rosie," sad Colten, "Keep it up until everyone's in the ship."

"Okay," she said, struggling. "C'mon, guys! Let's hurry!" said Colten. We were all on the ship. Now we were just waiting for Rosie. "Okay, Rosie time to go," I say. She nods then tears down the magical wall and makes a run for it.

When she finally made it to the ship, we immediately closed the door, and we now were lifting into the air. "Phew!" said Joshua, "That was a close one." We all look at him. "What?" he asked. We all roll our eyes. "What did do?" he asked.

Chapter 5: A Little Surprise

Now everything was under control. Back to war, we go. Then we heard someone say "Ouch!" We all look around. "Who said that?" asked Rosie. I knew where the noise was coming from. I open a big box and inside it was Princess Charlotte. "Princess Charlotte?" said Luna, "What are you doing here?"

"Hiding," she said, simply. "Hiding?" I say, "Hiding from what?" "The attackers," Princess Charlotte responded. "Well," I say, "I hate to break it to you, but we're going toward them." "What?!" screamed Princess Charlotte dramatically.

"Look, princess," I say firmly, "If you want us to take you home in one piece, I suggest you shut it."

"Ugh! That is no way to talk to a princess," said Princess Charlotte, "You know I could have you executed for saying that." "Okay," I say, "Go ahead. When this war is over execute me. I dare you." Princess Charlotte was speechless. Just as she was about to say something, she stopped and huffed.

I smile. "Okay, princess," said Colten, "I promise you'll get home safely." "Thank you," said Princess Charlotte. She then goes to sit down.

Chapter 6: Crashing

"Princess Charlotte," I say, "Where are you going?" "I'm just exploring," she said. "Okay, just don't touch anything." Princess Charlotte rolled her eyes.

Princesses. "Shouldn't someone go with Princess Charlotte?" I ask, "She could mess something up." "She's gonna be fine, Nova," said Colten. I wanted to believe him, but I just couldn't. I know she's gonna mess something up, and she's going to say she didn't do it.

Suddenly, the all lights went out. "Joshua," said Colten, "Go see if you can fix the lights." "'Go see if I can fix the lights'," said Joshua, "I was the top of my class, I think I can fix some lights."

"Just go do it," said Colten. Joshua runs over to the switch centre. Colten then starts to look panicked. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Get ready to crash," Colten said. "Why?" "Because we just lost power in the entire ship," responded Colten.

"It wasn't me," said Princess Charlotte, quickly going to sit down. I look at Colten. "I told you," I mouthed. "Everyone hold on!" exclaimed Colten putting on his seatbelt.  We then start to drop fast. Princess Charlotte starts to scream, which made me want to smack her perfect princess face.

Everyone was holding on for dear life. Especally Joshua. Rosie made a magic ball around her to protect her. Luna was holding on to a pole, Princess Charlotte was still screaming, Colten was just sitting there, and I was holding onto the one of the control centre chairs. Then we finally hit the ground.

When we did, I lost my grip off of the chair, making me fall. Then everything went black.

Chapter 7: Stranded on Planet Nomicle

I heard voices saying my name. "Nova, Nova!" they called over and over. I finally opened my eyes and the first person I see was Colten. "Nova," he said, "Are you alright?" "Wha- uhh, yeah," I say. "Here," said Colten, reaching out his hand. I kindly accepted his gesture. "Thanks," I say. Colten smiles.

What was going on?! First, I made him laugh, now I made him smile! "Okay, let's go," said Colten. We walk out of the spaceship. "Great," said Luna, "We're stranded on Planet Nomicle. Of course it had to be Nomicle." "It's okay," said Colten, walking away. "Wait!" said Joshua, "Where are you going?" "Well the ship is no use to us anymore, so we have to walk to the city and ask for someone to help us."
