       I am James, a 12 year old kid. I am waiting to 

board the newest 747-8. I just love riding on 

planes. It always looks amazing when it takes off 

and lands. This 747-8 looks magnificent. Its 

wings are like 40 houses long! The planes wheels 

were like circular mountains! The plane all 

together, looked like the size of ten airplanes 

combined. Then suddenly, I hear an 

announcement,"Zone 1, you can start boarding 

now." I took a look at my ticket to see that I was 

in zone 1. Excitingly, I got up to board on the 

marvelous plane. 

      As I was entering the plane, it looked 

like a dream. I sat in the most comfortable 

seats they were as soft as pillows. I looked 

out the window to see two strong engines. 

They looked like they could push the whole 

airport. Finally, the pilot came on the 

speaker, and said," This is the pilot 

speaking. The plane is ready for departure." 

When the engines were on, it sounded like a 

tornado! As it was moving, it was so smooth, 

it was as if the plane was skating. After a 

little while, the plane was soaring like a 

bird.

                 It felt like we were kings and queens 

because, the flight attendants had everything! 

They had books to read, games to play, TVs to 

watch, and more! I felt like I never wanted to 

get off this plane! It was the best plane I've ever 

flew on. Which means, it was good, because I 

have been on about 50 planes! Then, the pilot 

came on the speaker and said,"We are landing in 

15 minutes." I thought to myself, that was quick 

3 hours passed by like it was only 3 minutes. The 

person next to me said,"I never knew 3 hours 

can go by so fast!" Then something very scary 

happened, the plane was rocking back and forth, 

back and forth.

             The pilot came on the speaker again, and I 

was shocked at what I heard. He said,"The 

central hydraulics system malfunctioned. That 

means the landing gear is stuck. But we are 

trying to find a solution." People started 

panicking that the plane was going to crash. I 

suddenly felt my heart racing. "How are they 

going to land this plane?" I wondered. The land 

was getting closer and closer. People were 

panicking more and more.

               "We are preparing for landing, and there is 

fireproof foam on the runway,"announced the 

pilot. After that moment, we needed to choose our 

brace positions. Everyone was freaking out. 

Now, we were just a few feet above the 

ground. After a few seconds, we heard the pilot 

saying the words no one wants to hear on a plane. 

He said,"Brace, Brace, Brace!" There was a loud 

BOOM! Everyone was bracing. Finally, the 

plane stopped, and everyone clapped. But it 

wasn't over yet...
