Kayaking

Roaring waves, 

Hot sand, 

Waving goodbye, 

To the mainland.

Paddling along, 

Through the shallows, 

Having fun, 

With my fellows.

Rising sun in the sky, 

We’re just starting to roam , 

Got many more hours,

‘Till we head back home.

It’s green and salty,

Sea pickle’s its name,

It grows next to the water,

It's like a small coral flame.

Cold sunscreen,

On my bare skin,

It protects us from the sun,

Even though it’s thin.

Balancing on the paddleboard,

Paddling through the rough,

Going the opposite way as the water,

Is super tough!

 I hate the mud,

Near the land,

It makes you sink,

When you try to step on the “sand”.

On the island,

Nature’s not thin,

Be careful of thorns,

They may prick your skin. 

The poison ivy,

Is really thick,

I bet on you,

It will stick.

Time to head home,

I’ll be back soon,

Have to sleep in my bed,

Under the bright moon.

Winter

Soft snow,

Falling outside,

Fire glowing brightly,

All the logs are fried

Singing carols,

We can barely see,

Deck the halls,

And Oh Christmas tree.
