Lucy just turned 16 and got her driver's license. She started an ice cream truck selling homemade ice cream to help her save up for a car, but it is not going very well.  

     So Lucy called Mrs.Miller to help her out.

Lucy brings Mrs.Miller to her ice cream truck and immediately Mrs. Miller tells her the ice cream truck is in the wrong place.

"No one wants to buy ice cream in the freezing cold!" said Mrs. Miller.

So they moved Lucy's ice cream truck to a warmer location.

They move the ice cream truck to a warm village with lots of kids that would love to buy ice cream. Lucy tells Mrs. Miller she is selling her ice cream for $20 a cone.

"$20 for a cone is way too much!! No one pays that much for ice cream, especially not the kids you want to sell to!!" Said Mrs. Miller.

So they change the price to $5 a cone. Mrs. Miller asks Lucy how she is promoting her ice cream truck, Lucy asks Mrs. Miller what promoting even means.

" Promoting is how people find out about your business! Like ads, flyers, or word of mouth!"

Says Mrs. Miller.

So Lucy puts up flyers all around the town and tells everyone she talks to about her ice cream truck. The word gets spread very quickly and soon everyone is talking about her ice cream truck and showing up to buy some!!

After just a week, Lucy has saved up enough money to buy herself a car!

"All along you had the right product, but in order to be successful you need to have the right place, price, promote, and know who your ideal customers are!" Says Mrs.Miller.

Lucy thanks Mrs.Miller for all her help and they drive away in her car.
