Ivan and his family are going on a trip to Mexico to visit his grandparents.

He is excited because he has not seen them in a very long time and also gets to play with his cousins.

Yay!!

Although Ivan is excited about the trip, one thing is bothering him. He has never been in an airplane before!

So many emotions are going through his mind. He is excited, nervous, scared; he is even feeling a bit nauseous.

Ivan's parents tell him not to worry about a thing and that it is normal to have all these types of emotions. 

I was scared the first time, too!

Mom explains to Ivan that he might feel some turbulence in the air. Turbulence is wind hitting the airplane, and he should not be afraid.

Think about it like bumps on the road, but these are bumps in the air!

The day is finally here. Ivan is packed and ready to go. 

The first thing they do after they arrive at the airport is check-in, where Ivan and his family receive their boarding passes.
