Once upon a time there was a boy 

named Billy. He loved to do magic 

tricks. It was his dream to become a 

professional magician. Billy spent most 

of his free time watching magic shows 

on TV and practicing tricks. All he 

wanted was his very own magic kit for 

Christmas. Fortunately, Christmas was 

approaching and he grew anxious for a 

magic kit very much.

On Christmas morning Billy woke up and 

rushed downstairs to see the gifts he had 

received. With a big smile on his face he 

wondered if he had gotten the magic kit like 

he asked. It was his last present to tear open 

and he still had not opened the magic kit. He 

grew nervous and opened it with his eyes 

closed. Lo and behold, it was the magic kit! 

Billy was very happy and relieved he got it 

for once and for all.

Billy practiced each day in his Pirate 

themed bedroom. He practiced 

every day for a couple of hours at 

home after school. Each day he 

grew better and better as a 

magician. He was very happy with 

the amount of progress and success 

so far.  

One day, Billy decided he needed a little bit of fresh 

air. So he took his magic kit with him outside to 

practice. While he was practicing the next door 

neighbors saw him and realized he was a good 

magician. So they asked him if he would perform for 

their son's birthday party coming up soon. Billy was 

surprised and didn't know what to say. He thought 

about it for a moment and at last he confidently said, 

"Yes, I will do magic tricks for your son's birthday 

party Mr. and Mrs. Wiggins." "Thank you so much", 

said the Wiggins.
