Hey everyone! My name is Kary, I'm a cell. Today I will be going to orientation at the Cell Factory. It's where we all end up working here in Cell World. I would love it if you guys came with me to my orientation day. It can be a little scary learning something new, but that shouldn't stop us from doing new things!

Oh hello there friend! My name is Eury. You must be here for orientation. Welcome to the team!
CELL FACTORY
Well yes, I am! Thank you!

So now that we met, I will be your guide today. I hope you are ready to learn all about the work you will be doing here. You have an important job to do, well all of us do. We all work together to make the dream work for the big world out there, you know,, for all the living things on Earth, like humans and plants!

This is called the Cell Cycle,
where you will be working overtime!
It looks big right, no worries.
I will walk with you through each process.

" I'm sure you are full of questions. But do not fret, after I go through all of this information, you will get to meet one of the bosses, Mitosis. Until then, we will walk through interphase." "This process is broken down into 3 stages. G1, S-phase, then G2, but let me explain," said Eury.
In G1, will be where most of our work will get done. We get to grow in size! We will get lots of protein here, so we can prepare for DNA replication."
"What is DNA?" said Kary.
"Well, think about it like this. DNA is like a code to a video game, it has genetic information in it that makes you, you!" replied Eury.

Moving on to the S phase, where replication of DNA will happen. I mean who wouldn't want to have a twin that shares the same everything as them?! This is also where our friends' chromatids appear, they will duplicate to be identical!
Last but not least before we get to Mitosis, is G2. This is where we prepare to use our math skills! We will prepare to divide, but we will grow a little more and ensure we are good to go before then.

Now we will be running into Mitosis anytime. He stays busy but that's okay we will too because here we have 4 stages to go through to get the job finished. In this part of the factory, we help organisms grow in size, and repair damaged tissue. It is important for health, and repair, growth and healing!

I read about this in my handbook. This is where we go through nuclear division and divide ourselves to become 2 daughter cells maintaining the same number and kinds of chromosomes as the parent nucleus!
You are correct! You are going to fit in great here, let's go into Prophase.

"So now that we are looking at Prophase, you can see that chromosomes have become visible! The nuclear envelope and the nucleolus will go away!" Eury explained to Kary.
"WOW! This is amazing, now is this when centrioles move to opposite sides and spindle fibers form?"
"Yes Kary, you are catching on."
2nd, is Metaphase.
"This is where we will sound the alarm so when you hear a *BOOP BOOP BOOP* you know it's time that chromosomes will line up in the middle, perpendicular to the spindles! This is when they are very thick and noticeable.
3rd is Anaphase.
"Anaphase is when the centromeres split apart. and duplicate then they will go to opposite sides. Don't worry, it doesn't hurt. but It's what we're here to do."

"Telophase is when the two sets of chromatids reach the opposite ends. Basically, everything I taught you in prophase, is reversed. Don't be alarmed if you notice the cell shapes are different, like I said before we work together for all living things on Earth. So depending on who we make parts for, it will differ between plants and animals."
"What about cytokinesis Eury?"
