To Trixie- one of my favorite cats.

    Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Chloe who was 7 years old. Chloe really liked cats. Cats was her favorite animal- and she wanted so many! However, her family did not have enough money to spare to buy all of the cats she wanted. They offered to get her one, but Chloe thought her kitty would be sad without a companion. So Chloe never really did get a cat.

I can get you one little kitty, Chloe.

But then my kitty would be lonely.

    So, one night just before her birthday, Chloe asked God, ''God, would you please give me a lot of kitties? Not just one, or two, but several so they can all play together. Please, God? If it is in Your Will?''

    And Chloe fell to sleep peacefully after her prayer.

Don't worry, Chloe. God hears you.

    The next day, Chloe opened her eyes and immediately she heard loud meowing.

    Did my dream come true? she asked herself.

Chloe crept downstairs, and, sure enough, many kitties were all over the place, meowing for their owner.

    ''Don't worry, kitties. I will take care of you,'' Chloe said firmly and quickly went to retrieve the cat food she had been saving if she would get a cat.

    But the cat food she saved was missing. Instead, she found a bigger bag of food and a note that read, 'Your cat food was stale. Here is some fresh food.'

    Was that food from God? Did He make her dream come true?

    Chloe very much enjoyed her little kittens, and they enjoyed their owner. But her parents were disliking her cats, because they would scratch the curtains and nibble their blankets. They ripped the sofas and pulled the rug. More than that, they had no idea where all of those cats came from.

    They needed to be trained.

    Luckily, Chloe's good friend, Lily, knew how to handle cats. She offered to train them to behave for Chloe. So Chloe accepted.

    Every day, Chloe went over to Lily's house to check on her cats. ''They're doing well, but they need to stay a little longer,'' Lily usually told her. Chloe would play with them so they wouldn't miss her, and then she would go back home.
