This is Queen. Queen had always been in charge around the farm. She had her everyday duties, and had her very own spot on the bed. She was certainly the queen! If anyone ever took her place, it was off with their head! Queen was a Border Collie which meant she would herd sheep. But her farm was special. They had Karen the Kat, Lu Lu the hen, and Buddy the mule. You might know how Karen got her name. After checking on all of those animals Queen had one more special job. She would herd her ponies. This was a horse farm, not known for horses but for ponies. And Queen adored them! One day Sassy Karen the Kat was out in the paddock with the horses, she almost had one's eye out, But then came Queen to put Karen in her place!
But one day the farmer Jenny brought back a big box. Queen was hoping for treats as a reward for being her best. But instead out came another dog! He was as big as her and had slightly different coloring. Queen would not have this dog take her place on the farm. Queen started whining and looked up Jenny saying "Oh please take him back!" But things just got worse and Jenny was even bad enough to name him King. A few days later Queen sat in her special spot on the bed. She looked down and there was King. "Nope, this is my special spot not yours!" Now Shoo!" But King didn't move an inch! "Ugh, if I play with you will you leave me alone?" King waged his tail and off they went to play in the grass. And to Queen's surprise she actually had fun! So she gave him a tour.
A year later Queen and King had a puppy. Like usual Karen looked disgusted. "Revolting" said Karen. Then she looked deeper into the little puppy's eyes. "Well I guess shes okay for puppy." The rest of the litter was plain black and stood taller than her, but she didn't care. Besides the litter was always getting into mischief and she would listen and obey when Jenny gave a command. She also was the first to learn how to herd. So she had a closer connection to the ponies. She was named Princess Lola. There was also Prince Dude, Princess Darla, Princess Luna, and Sandy. Lola wandered why Sandy wasn't named Prince Sandy.

Little did they know that somewhere else around the farm, King's friend Sapphire the Pony had just had a colt of her own. Just like Lola's brothers and sisters that colt was always getting into trouble. He would chase Lu Lu the hen, chase Buddy the donkey and sometimes he would almost beat Karen in a duel. His name was Squirt, from the time he accidentally sprayed Jenny in the face with the water hose. Who knows what he was doing with that? Squirt doesn't always mean to do these things. But because they happen no one had ever wanted to be his friend. The other Colts would bully him, and the fillies just walked away. Sometimes he would try to be cool like the older geldings, but they just laughed.
