Bananas! is for 4th grade. We hope they can learn to not be greedy and think before you do something in this book.

    “I feel bored. Is there any land for me to rule?” demanded the Banana King. 

    “Boss, Monkeyland is the only land left. I could plan your attack now if you want.” answered his most trusted assistant and Banana man, Jerry as he headed to the planning room.

    “No! Stop right this instant!” the Banana King shouted. “The Monkey Fountain can cure my curse on any of you, I won’t risk letting you touch the water there and remembering everything. If that happens, you guys will turn back into monkeys!”

    “Boss, we have to try!” answered all the Banana Men in the room.

“Okay, then,” the Banana King decided after a while. “ You can start to plan our attack on them. But please be extra careful and make sure nothing goes wrong.”

    This was the first time Jerry heard the Banana King sound nervous. 

    The day the attacked, they started from the very farthest place from the Monkey Fountain. Jerry marched aside Rusty, his best friend who is also a Banana Man. “ Charge!” the King ordered, as all the Banana Men raced through the clearing, saying mean words and aiming weapons at every monkey they see.

    Monkeys seemed gradually defeated, and Jerry and Rusty let out a triumphant cry. They thought the battle was over, but suddenly the monkeys started all running in the same direction— heading towards the fountain. Jerry realized that the Monkeys wanted to outsmart them as soon as the armThey of Banana Men started chasing the monkeys toward the fountain.

    Worried, he ran toward the King. “Boss, please tell the army to stop, the monkeys are luring them toward the fountain!”

    The Banana King seemd to realize this as soon as the words poured out of Jerry’s mouth. “Wait! Stop!” the angry king yelled.

    All of the sudden, all the Banana Men stopped what they were doing and looked at each other in confusion, all of them, except Rusty. Rusty was so distracted in chasing Bella, a young monkey who can’t keep up with the others. He didn’t hear the King nor his pals calling for him.

    The monkeys let out frustrated and terrified cries for Bella, as Rusty almost caught her long, silky tail. Even though every monkey was scared by her situation, she was the calmest of them all. 

    As she approached the fountain, she took a deep breath and jumped into it. Every monkey seemed to have held their breath for her. “Splash!” Rusty plunged into the water after her without thinking.

    The fountain let out a glow as a brand new monkey stepped out. Rusty turned back into a monkey! “Oh no!” cried the king as he whispered to the Banana Men beside him. “ Tell the others later that  I am going to do something they don’t need to know.”

    Rusty overheard the King saying that, and came up with a smart plan. “Hey, guys! It’s me, Rusty. I have a special message from the king. Let’s go to this empty shed and I’ll tell you.”/

    As everyone entered the shed, Rusty told them the “message.” “The king wants us to turn back into monkeys, so we can blend in and ambush them. Now, go line up at the fountain and wait for me to finish persuading the monkeys that we are good.”he instructed.
