'' It’s time to go to bed,” Meme's mom said. It was nine o'clock already. “No,” said Meme nervously. She felt so nervous that monsters would appear in the dark. “What if the monster catches me and takes me to its hole to eat me?” Meme thought. She still did what her mom said, so she slowly walked to her bed

happened every night.

She often looked around her room when she was trying to sleep. That night, she looked at a shadow and imagined that it was a monster. She imagined its eyes were red, she thought the monster would use its sharp claws to catch her. She always thought about the monster in the shadows even without looking at them. The monster had long teeth and a big mouth, its body was black. Even though she knew she needed help, she didn’t want to tell her mother she was afraid of the dark. She thought everyone would laugh at her.

One night, she really couldn't sleep well. She dreamed about the monster chasing after her. She screamed and woke up. She was exhausted the whole of the next day. This happened every night, and she was still afraid of the shadow. She was even more tired than before. Eventually, she fell asleep, shaking with fear.
