This book is dedicated to my dentist Dr. Dance. Thank you for always taking such good care of my teeth and teaching me to brush and floss and for encouraging me to eat healthy snacks.

Bucky Beaver was known for his love of candy. He could often be found lying on his couch, surrounded by empty candy wrappers, his teeth stained from all the sugary treats he indulged in.

One day, after eating an entire bag of candy in one sitting, Bucky felt a sharp pain in his front teeth. He groaned in discomfort, wondering why his teeth were aching so badly.
"My front teeth are killing me," Bucky muttered to himself, rubbing his jaw in pain. He tried to ignore the throbbing sensation, but it only got worse as the day went on.

"Ouch my teeth hurt"
Back at the lake where he lived, Bucky had to break the news to the children. "I'm sorry, kids," he said sadly. "I won't be able to build a dam this summer, my teeth hurt too much, which means there won't be enough water for swimming.

The children's faces fell as tears welled up in their eyes. "Good grief," one of them cried. "This is going to be the worst summer ever!"

"Good grief, this is going to be the worst summer ever!"
Feeling responsible for ruining the children's summer plans, Bucky walked back home, feeling dejected. As he sat alone in his living room, he suddenly noticed a shimmering figure out of the corner of his eye. It was the tooth fairy, looking at him with a knowing smile.

"Bucky," I can see that you've been neglecting your teeth. But if you start brushing and flossing every day, I promise to grant you a brand new pair of front teeth."
Bucky's eyes widened in surprise. He had never heard of a tooth fairy offering such a deal before. Determined to get new teeth, Bucky began brushing and flossing diligently every day. And sure enough, his teeth started to sparkle like diamonds. The tooth fairy came and made good on her promise. Abra kadabra alakazam… poof two new front teeth.
