A little girl named Lizzy is playing in her backyard when she notices a small kitten hiding in a bush, meowing softly.

meow!

Lizzy is surprised at what she has found and scoops up the cute kitten, saying, "Oh, you must be lost little kitty!"
There is no one else around and Lizzy wants to help the kitten, so she decides to take it home with her.
"It's ok kitty, you can come home with me and be safe!" She says excitedly as she begins to walk back to her house.

Lizzy runs inside, she can not wait to tell her mom about what she has found!

Oh my, how cute! But where did you find it?
Look mom, we have a brand new pet! I just found it outside!

Lizzy explains to her mom how she found the kitten in a bush all by itself, and since she found the kitten, she thought she could give it a new home!

What? No! I found the kitty so it's mine now!
How nice of you to help the lost kitty, but Lizzy, I'm afraid it already has a home.

I'm sorry honey, but our neighbor has been looking for their kitten who ran away a few days ago...
But mom, I'm sad and I don't want to give back MY kitty.
