The three best friends Emily, Sarah, and Abby all went to the park to have a picnic. Emily brought the picnic basket and Abby brought a soccer ball. They ate fruit before going to play soccer together. Emily is Christian, Sarah is Buddhist, and Abby is Hindu. Even though they have different religions and beliefs they are still best friends. Religion is something that people believe in which helps them understand the world and teaches people how to be kind to each other. Belief is when you really think something is true even if you can't see it. There are many different kinds of religions and beliefs around the world and not everyone believes in the same ones as each other which is okay.

After they finished eating their yummy meals, they went to go play soccer. Abby is playing as a goal keeper while Emily and Sarah are on a team against her. They had lots of fun playing together. The three played until they could not play any longer. They went back to their picnic area to sit because they were tired. Abby took her soccer ball so she didn't forget it.

Holy Bible

This is Emily, she is a 12 year old Christian girl. She loves the color pink and plays tennis. She follows the Bible and a list of rules called the Ten Commandments. She follows one commandment the most. It is the tenth commandment. The tenth commandment is "Thou shall not covet". It teaches to not be jealous of something someone else has that you really want. Being jealous makes a person unhappy and keeps them from putting God first. This commandment helps keep people from this bad thing (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints). Every night before bed she prays to the rosary and asks for forgiveness for her sins so God can take her in the right direction.

This is Sarah, she is a 12 year old Buddhist girl. She loves the color purple and plays basketball. She follows the 8-fold path, but follows one path the most. The 8-fold path are 8 practices taught by the Buddha to let go of pain and to reach understanding. Right Effort is the path she follows the most. It means to get rid of bad thoughts and actions. The Buddha taught that if you want to be happy, you have to do some things, like behaving right (The Noble of Eightfold Path). By doing this it helps her reach her goal. She follows this everyday because it helps her think more happy thoughts instead of bad or sad. It also helps her to treat others better.

This is Abby, she is a 12 year old Hindu girl. She loves the color blue and plays soccer. She practices the Hindu yoga called Karma yoga. Karma yoga is doing good things without waiting for anything back. The word karma means action so Karma Yoga is the “Yoga of Action” or “Duty” (The Path of Work - Karma Yoga). Hindu meditation is also known as yoga, which is what she does. She takes time to find an empty, quiet spot to clear her mind and focus on her breathing for a couple minutes a day. After doing this, she continues on with her day as it helps calm and relax her. This is what she does everyday and she is happy while doing it.

No it's not! Buddhism is!
Christianity is better than both of your religions!
Hinduism is better!
The three girls went to sit down because they were tired. They started talking and Emily brought up her religion, Christianity. She started bragging about how Christianity is better than Buddhism and Hinduism. Sarah then started talking about Buddhism. She was telling Emily that Buddhism is better than both Christianity and Hinduism. Abby started talking about Hinduism and she said it was better than both of their religions.
