Blended learning is an educational model that combines elements of the physical classroom with online learning, resulting in an increase of student choice and control.

This means that blended learning occurs partially in a traditional school setting within classroom walls and with a teacher to provide some content and support. It also occurs outside of the physical classroom through an online learning management system that gives students more autonomy regarding aspects such as pace, path, and location.
