All people deserve to live a happy, healthy and peaceful life, without threat of hunger, money issues, or health problems.
But many many people around the world are living in a state of stress, working out how to get their next meal, or where to sleep for the night.
But not to worry... the sustainable development goals are here to help!
These goals are aimed at ending poverty, unfair differences between people, protecting our wonderful planet, and to make sure all people are able to enjoy health, equal treatment, and fulfilling lifestyles.

One of the most important resources for human survival is water. It is used for many daily activities, but most importantly, it keeps us hydrated, clean and free of disease.
What would we do without it?
Well, some people have to travel far and wide each day just to collect their daily water for their whole family!
Lets have a closer look at the importance of having clean water and sanitation, through the story of a young girl called Kandra, living in a small village in Central Africa...
The "clean water and sanitation" goal was created to improve these problems that millions of people are experiencing everyday around the world.
Kandra and many other girls and women have to walk for 30 minutes to the nearest water source to collect water for her family.
They use all of the water for drinking, cooking, washing clothes, and cleaning herself and her siblings.
In her village, it is the girls who do the collecting, as her brothers are at school, and her papa works on a farm all day.
But one day, a horrible period of dryness struck the village.
It didn't rain for weeks and weeks, and Kandra was no longer able to fetch the amount of water needed to provide for her entire family.
This lack of water not only significantly affected the village, but also the animals and crops that were used for food and nutrition.
With such little water, Kandra couldn't properly clean herself and disease and illness spread rapidly throughout the village.
People were weak, hungry and thirsty, meaning they couldn't do the work that needed doing to maintain their houses and health of their families.
But then a miracle happened, as rain started to pour down over the town, and over time filling the water hole.
Kandra and her family cheered and this time ran to get an abundance of fresh water.
Crops grew back luscious and abundant, over time the village's health and wellbeing was restored.
