Tuesday, A week later.
As I cried, the villagers came up to me. A villager in iron armor came up to me. "What happened to the Arch Illager?" He asked. "He's dead." I answered. "Along with all my friends!!!"
I bawled loudly, and then Leila came up to me. She tried to comfort me, but I wasn't listening.
Eventually, some villagers came and dragged me in the mansion and put me in my room.
I laid there for every day, barely eating or drinking, in a depression, and then, something happened after a week, in the morning today.
Knock! Knock! "Can I come in?" I didn't answer. A gentle looking person in a lab coat came in. "Hi." She sat down on my bed. "I know we haven't met, but me and the other scientists came up with something." She held up and small object with a button on it.
"You just hold it and think about where, err, when you want to go and push the button, and wham, you're there." I realized what she was saying. I sat up and spoke for the first time in a long
time. "So I can save my friends?" She nodded. "But you only have one chance. It only has two trips. One there and back." "Oh."
She handed me the device. I thought about it. "If I go back and save them from the last battle, then we'd never have defeated him. And plus, Mike would still be dead. And if I stopped the war, we'd never have met Sebastian. And if I have to stop the war, then Mia would never be human. And if I saved my village from the explosion, then we'd never have to recruit villagers and never meet Sebastian and Mia would never be human."
So, the decision was either Sebastian and Mia as a human, or
my people." Tears flowed from my face. "I'm sorry." I said. "I have to move on." I thought of the last battle and pressed the button.
Tuesday, um, a week before.
I appeared next to me and my friends. I, err, past Luke looked at me with confusion. "Hi, guys." I said. "I'm here to change the future. Um, everyone, attack!"
Everyone looked at me with confusion, but then they did as I told.
I swung, and when the illager raised his staff to poof Alex, but I tackled him and his weapon wobbled and struck a nearby tree.
Then, I grabbed the staff and tried to wrestle him for it. While I distracted him, the past versions of me and my friends attack him. I landed a deadly hit with my Ender Sledge.
Then, the illager got his staff free and kicked me off of him.
He began to raise it again for another attempt, I kicked him and he fell to the ground. "Stand back!" I shouted as I took a step back.
Past me held up the gigantic weapon and swung it down. It shattered as it hit him and he poofed away.
I smiled. Then, past me came up to me. "Why did you come to
change the future?" He asked. "Oh, well in my timeline, everyone died and you barely made it." I grabbed the device. "Okay, bye."
KShOO!!!
I appeared in my bed.
I wondered if it worked, so I walked out. A random guy walked by, so I stopped him. "Hey, do you know where my friends are?" I asked. "Oh, you mean Sebastian, Alex, Mia, and Steve?" I nodded.
"Their... dead? You don't remember?" My lips began to quiver.
It didn't work? I was about to cry, then he started laughing. "HAHA!!! You should've seen your face."
He laughed, then said, "They're down in the emergency basement."
I smiled. "Thanks." I went down and greeted my friends. I was so relived they were alive.
"Hey, Luke."
Alex said.
"Yeah, hey."
