Wednesday
I woke up to the sound of Steve tumbling around in his room across the hall. "Ugh." I went out my room and into the hall. "What are you doing?" I asked, barging into his room. He had several wooden dummies set up around the room, and he was running and jumping all while swinging at them.
"Training." Steve said without looking at me. "Why?" I asked. He groaned. "I wouldn't expect a villager to understand." "Hey! I'm not a normal villager." I said with a laugh. "But, seriously, why are you training?"
"Umm, I'm trying to get to level 5000 to choose my path." "Oh, where are you?" He paused and looked down at his XP meter. "Oh, look at that." He said to himself. "4974."
"Whoa! You're almost there." Then, I remembered something. "Well, Robo-Alex can generate 100 levels each week." I said. "Umm, isn't she Mia now?" I blushed. "Err, yeah, I kinda forgot. It seemed like they're two different people."
I looked down at my own bar. "Hey, I can spare a few levels. How many do you need? 26?" He nodded. I concentrated and then a green orb flew out of me and landed into him. "YES! Thanks, dude." Before I could reply, he ran out of the room and
into Alex's room. "I'm about to choose my Path!" I heard him say. I went over to Sebastian's room.
I knocked on his door. "Come in." I heard him say. I came in and sat in a chair. "Whatcha' need?" He asked, slipping a diamond sword under his bed.
"Umm, I guess I just wanted to hang out with another boy that's not Steve?" I said. At that moment, Steve burst in the room in a completely different outfit.

"Whoa." Sebastian commented. "Ehh, I liked the other better." I informed him.
He glared at me and then threw a dagger at me. He completely missed. "Ha! You--!" Then, it came back around and barely sliced my ear. "Ow! What was that?" He smirked as it came to him and he caught it. "I can now use any object as a boomerang."
"Err, uh, cool? Just don't almost kill me next time. K?"
Then the girls walked in. "Hey." Mia said. "What are you doing?" "Umm, just hanging?" I said.
Alex gave me a bored look. "Oh, how interesting." She said sarcastically. Then there was a sound. I swear, it's like the 60th time it's happened since I began this journey. KABOOM!!!
The wall blew up beside us, and I sighed as I walked out. There was a man wearing a bright red outfit and a man wearing a bright blue outfit. "Hello!" Mia said friendly. Her brain is messed up, seriously.
The man in red grinned. "Hello. We hear you're Luke's friends. Now tell me where he is." He held out his hand and a claw shot off of his arm and grabbed Mia's neck and sucked her back into his grip. He held a sword up to her neck. "Tell me, or your cute
friend here gets it." I raised an eyebrow at him. "Umm, I'm afraid you're looking at him, buddy."
"Hoho. Is that right?" He said, laughing. "I thought he'd be a brave warrior, who--"
Twang!
Alex shot an arrow at his foot and it pinned him to the ground. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!" His blue friend grabbed Mia and the red guy, and then a shadow appeared above us. I looked up and saw a gigantic floating ship. It shot down a beam and lifted them up. "See ya!" The blue guy grinned.
Then they disappeared into the ship. "Aw, crud." Alex said. "Now they've got a hostage. What do they want with you?"
I shrug. "I don't know. Maybe info about something?" None of my friends had any clue.
Then, the ship began to float away. "NO! Oh crud!" I said. "Steve, are you in range to poof us there?"
"Only me." He said. "Well do it!" I said. "We can't just let them run off with Mia!" Then, Alex, Steve and Sebastian all raised an eyebrow at me, and I felt embarrassed. "W-well, none of us want her to be killed, right?" I stuttered. I shook myself. "Let's
just rescue her, okay?"
We agreed to go now, so we followed the gigantic ship. As we ran, every few minutes, Steve would poof us around a hundred blocks ahead.
Even though we were making good distance, it was clear we couldn't make it fast enough.
Then, Alex said, "Ugh, might as well just stop in a town and see if anyone's see it. I mean, it's not like it's just going to circle around with a rope dan--" Then, the gigantic ship came around with a long piece of rope dangling off of it.
"Oh my g-" Alex tried to say, but the rope smacked her in the face. She grabbed it along with the rest of us, and we began to climb. We climbed into a basement with lots of crates. I opened one of them and noticed it was packed with TNT.
"What are they planning to blow up?" I asked, but obviously, no one knew.
Then, I heard footsteps and the voice of the blue or red man. I could hear him talking to someone about security or something, and that they can't just leave the rope out in case someone random snuck in. Heehee.
We had nowhere to go. Steve and Alex jumped into two crates, and Sebastian jumped into a barrel on the wall. I looked around frantically for another spot, then I spotted a vent on the wall. I rolled in that direction, but ended up smashing my head on the wall.
I made a ton of noise, and I heard the man fall silent. I held my breath and slowly opened the vent and crawled in. "What was that?" I heard. I closed the vent, but it slipped and slammed, clanging on the wall. I heard running, and the blue man appeared in the room, followed by a red robot.
I kept as silent as possible, hoping they wouldn't look in my
direction. "Who's there?!" The man shouted. "Excuse me, sir." The robot said. "But there have been reports of mice in this specific area." "Oh." He said. "Then come with me."
They walked away. None of my friends moved, and I didn't want to risk it by whispering to them, so I just silently crept through.
I saw a open vent plate and opened it. Inside there was a gigantic prison. Inside the cages were hundreds of villagers and humans, all enclosed in these cruel cells.
Inside I saw Mia. I almost shouted to her, but I noticed
something. There were plenty of robot guards, but it wasn't that. In the cage next to her, I saw a guy talking to her. They were laughing and having a great time. The worst part was the guy was human and quite good looking.
I huffed and continued crawling. She wouldn't like a villager... I thought bitterly. I should have expected this.
Something inside me felt sad and angry, but I pushed these feelings away. It's... fine. Yeah, she... err, I don't...
Then, I found another vent plate and opened it and noticed the red man practicing his sword fighting against a robot. "Haha!"
He said as he decapitated it. He didn't exactly look like the best swordsman I'd ever seen. I scoffed. Just some rich dude weakening robots to feel better than himself.
Then, I grabbed my bow and aimed it at one of the security cameras. TWANG! Good aim, but just missed it, and then the camera looked up and noticed me. I sighed.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
At that moment, my friends burst into the room and Sebastian looked up at me, noticing me by chance. "Nice!" He shouted up, clearly annoyed.
He rolled his eyes and looked over at the red man who had a obsidian sword in one hand and a quartz one in the other. He pointed at them. "You will not mess with the Hangry Bros!" He declared, running into battle with a war cry.
Sebastian held up his scythe and blocked a few of his attacks. Then, the blue guy ran into the room and held up his sword and yelled, "The Hangry Bros!!!"
Then, I jumped out of the vent and struck a heroic position as I landed. At least, that was the plan, but my ankle got caught in the panel and pulled my knee out of socket, then I hurtled toward the ground and landed on my back. "ACKK!!!"
I grabbed my leg and bit on my tongue to keep from screaming. Alex rolled her eyes. "Nice job, Luke." Despite her words, she ran over and helped me up.
Then, I noticed my leg was far worse than popped out of place. It was partially bend the wrong way. "Ooh." Alex winced, looking at my broken leg. I'm not exactly proud of this, but I fell into her arms and passed out.
Thursday
I woke up with a sharp pain in my leg. I opened my eyes and noticed I was in a small room with Leila standing at the foot of the bed. She smiled brightly. "You're awake."
I nodded, then looked down at my leg. It was wrapped in bandages and felt as stiff at stone. "But, uh, I'm sorry, but it looks like you're not gonna be doing any more combat."
I sadly looked down at it and sighed. Then, she peeked her head out of the door and said, "He's awake." Alex came in, followed by
Steve, Mia, and Sebastian. "Hey," Steve said, knelling down next to my bed. "I'm... sorry about your leg."
I was silent. I now couldn't even walk, and that man had chosen me to protect my village. I couldn't even make up for what had happened to it.
Then, Alex hugged me. "Well, I guess that your adventuring time's over." She said. She smiled, and I could see tears in her eyes. "And I'm glad I was there through the whole thing."
Then, my adventure flashed before my eyes, from meeting Alex to rescuing Mia from "The Hangry Bros."
