To little ballerinas everywhere

There once was a little girl named Riley who begged her mom to sign her up for ballet classes.
"Please, please Mom, can I please do ballet?" said Riley.
Riley's mom could not say no to her sweet daughter.
Riley, overcome with joy, ran around her house cheering and giggling.
Later that night, Riley could not go to bed as she was too excited. Eventually, she feel asleep and dreamed she was a professional ballerina dancing on a huge stage.
The next day, Riley's mom dropped her off at the ballet studio after picking her up from school.
At the studio, Riley met her teacher, Miss Anna.
Miss Anna welcomed all of the little ballerinas with a warm smile and a quick introduction.

As soon as Riley stepped into the studio, she was amazed to see the big rooms with mirrors covering the walls.
"It's just like I imagined" said a wowed Riley, "This is a dream come true".
Miss Anna started the class with teaching her students some ballet basics.
The first thing they learned was how to stand in first position, which is where their feet are turned outwards and heels touching.
Miss Anna told her students "Imagine there is a slice of pie between your feet".

The next thing Riley learned was a plié, which means "to bend" in French. Miss Anna showed Riley and her classmates how to bend their knees while standing in first position.
After learning how to plie, the next thing Riley learned was releve. Releve means "to rise" in French and Miss Anna told her students to go on their tip toes while standing in first position.
Riley's first class came to an end. She was more inspired than ever after learning a couple of ballet basics. As soon as Riley got home, she immediately started practicing her first position, plie and releve.
The next class could not come soon enough for Riley. After a long week of waiting, it was finally time for Riley's second ballet class.
Miss Anna greeted Riley and her classmates. "Good afternoon, ballerinas!" she said cheerfully. "Today, we're going to review what we learned last time and then add something new."
