A long way 

out in the 

deep green 

forest lived a 

peacock.

Not an ordinary peacock, but the 

most beautiful bird in the entire 

forest.

His feathers were glimmering 

with every shade of blue, green 

and gold.

The other peacocks were 

amazed with his 

beauty.They called him to 

play with them but the 

Rainbow Peacock ignored 

them and passed by proudly 

and silently.

One day, a little white peacock followed him.

" Rainbow Peacock, he called,"wait for me! 

Please give me one of your glimmering 

feathers. They are so unique and you have 

so many."

"Of course I won't, who do you think you 

are?" yelled the Rainbow Peacock."Get away 

from me!".

Shocked, the little peacock flew away.

He was so upset, he 

told all his friends  

what had happened.

From then on, no 

one would have 

anything to do 

with the Rainbow 

Peacock.

They turned away 

when he flew by.

What good 

were the 

glimmering,

shining 

feathers 

with no one 

to praise 

them?

He went to the 

wise owl and 

told her all his 

troubles.

She said,"When 

you give is 

when you find 

happiness.", 

then she flew 

away.

Rainbow Peacock thought 

about what the owl said and 

remembered the little white 

peacock.

He decided to go and give 

him one of his feathers.

A rather peculiar feeling 

came over the Rainbow 

Peacock, when he saw the 

little peacock joyfully flying 

in the sky.
