Summary of "Painting is fun!""Painting is fun" is a wonderful children's
book that helps show a young child, or even an
adult, how important manners are,
and how far they can get you in
life. Jesse, a young boy, begins
to test these limits when he
is needing help from his
mother while completing
a painting activity. Jesse learns how far a few manners may get you, and
how his mother shows him that through love.

Jesse was excited.
He shouted, "It's
finally the weekend!".
Jesse was tired of
going to school
everyday, and
was looking
forward to
the next
two days.

Mommy promised him that he could
do any activity he wanted. He thought,
"Wow, any activity?".

Jesse couldn't quite decide what
activity he was going to do.
There just so
many! He
began to
think about
all the
activities
he could do.

He could help mommy work in the garden,

He could make a cake
with his sister,

and he could even help Daddy
in the garage.

Who knew there was so much to do?

Jesse had to finish the chores mommy gave
him before he could pick an activity.

He put up his laundry and hung up his stuff.

Next he swept the kitchen,
picked up his toys, and
set the table.

All done!

Jesse rushed down stairs to tell mommy he was finished.
"Mommy?", Jesse called around the house. "I'm in the
kitchen!",Mommy said. Excitedly, Jesse exclaimed,
"Mommy, I'm finished, I'm finished!".

Mommy grinned, "Okay, go look
what I put on the kitchen table
for you.". "Paint!", Jesse shouted.

Jesse picked out the coloring page he wanted.
He could not rip it out on his own. "Jesse,
sometimes you need to ask for help. Here, let
me help.", Mommy said. "Now, what do
you say?", Mommy asked.

Thank you mommy.", Jesse replied.

Jesse tried opening the paint by himself, but it spilled
on him. Luckily, he had a smock on. The smock protects
his clothes from the paint.

Jesse couldn't reach the paint brushes in the
cabinet. "Mommy, could you help me get the
paint brushes, I can't reach them.", Jesse told
Mommy. "Sure!", Mommy said with a smile.
