To my mom, Zina

Sometimes the world seems lonely and dark
And it seems that light is a distant dream
Down a deep tunnel which seems to never end
You feel like a dead leaf lying there
Gloomily waiting for a purpose
Dry and brittle
Limp, cold and sad
But all it takes is a single little spark
A Single Little Spark
To light up your mind
A single little spark
Which will stay with you forever on
I can hear nature’s call
A mix of things; spring, summer, winter, early fall
The birds chirping their morning song Squirrels scurrying away out of sight but not for very long
Rushing, flowy silver streams
Tugging at my heart in the night
Owls hooting their little lullaby
Nature’s Call
Like a baby blue music box with a bow on it wrapped up tight
Ferns and plants growing on my legs
Cuddling and sticking to my shoes
Everything is beautiful
Big things, small things
And the itty bitty ones too
