Once upon a time there lived a little mouse,

She was an orphan without a house,

Still only a child, she felt so much alone,

Wanting so hard to find a place she could belong. 

She travelled across the world trying to find her own path,

But wherever she arrived, the animals just laughed:

„we want nothing to do with a dirty little mouse!

We think homeless creatures deserve no chance!“

Oh little mouse, stay strong and true,
better days are coming, we’ll help you! 

Dirty, hungry, thirsty, tired little mouse, 

Was looking for shelter and a piece of good advise, 
in school they taught her nothing of hardships in real life,

She needed love and kindness – support was her right!  

There she met a koala high above the trees,

Chewing on some strange leaves and offering a piece,

Without hesitation little mouse took a big bite,

But within the first minutes she didn’t feel alright.

Then she met a kangaroo with half-lidded eyes,

Telling her that Opium is a gateway to the skies,

Little mouse was desperate and believed his words,

Hoping she’d feel better, but had only made it worse.

She woke up to a reindeer dancing strangely round her head:

„You should try this mushroom - it's tasty, white and red!

it will make your worries disappear into a cloud!"

Instead it made her sick and her head spinned all around.
