The Magical Threads of Threadsville: A Tale of Two Journeys

Welcome back readers! Today we start our second tale in the fantastic town of Threadsville... lets see what Max and Julie, two kids in town, are up to!

Max enjoyed sorting his clothes at home, to bring to a donation box he saw around school.

CLOTHING DRIVE DORCAS MINISTRIES

Julie's school didn't have clothing donation bins, so she ended up throwing away her unwanted clothes.

From these choices, two pieces of clothing began very different journeys —Tina, a bright pink t-shirt, from Max's pile...

Thanks Max! I can't wait to get to my new home!

...and Todd, a nice blue t-shirt, from Julie's trash bag... both of which were in great shape.

Hm.. I wonder why Julie threw me away! I'm just as good as other clothes being donated!

Tina was donated to a local clothing drive...

DONATIONS

...but Todd was thrown away with other clothes.

TRASH

Tina joined other clothes at the donation center, waiting to be chosen by someone new.

I can’t wait to help someone new!

Todd was taken to a landfill, where he joined piles on top of piles of waste.

Why are there so many of us here?

At the donation center, a mother picked Tina for her child, who needed some new clothes.

Im so happy to be helping someone!

But - Todd still sat in the landfill, where he noticed something alarming. Some of the clothes around him weren’t breaking down, and they were releasing harmful chemicals into the earth.
