I want to see the sunlight.

Where did it go?

Why is darkness all around?

Why does my heart feel heavy? 

Why am I always crying?

Why do I feel so empty inside, full of pain?

Why do loved ones have to leave this earth?

I want you to stay with me forever.

I want to give you one last hug.

I know You are always there for me.

But right now You seem so far away.

My earnest prayers for joy haven't been heard.

Has it?

I may not feel joy right now,

Nor any hope,

But I know Jesus' love for me is incredible.

I know He’s always there.

Through the sad days, through the pain

When all I could do is cry,

You were there every step of the way,

Slowly healing my pain.
