Today was the worst day of Humphrey's life. His favorite teacher (Ms. Mac) left. She was the one who got Humphrey from the pet store and who raised him. They were best friends. Now, Humphrey is stuck with Mrs. Brisbane. He is not excited!

     After Ms. Mac took Humphrey from the pet store, they went to her apartment. She fed him apples and let him run around outside his cage! They loved each other so much, even after the very first day.

Humphrey also got to know all of the students in his class!

On the way to school the next day, Ms. Mac told Humphrey some devastating news. She told him that she would be leaving the school. Humphrey was heartbroken, and this was the worst day of his life.
