Hello my name is Omochao
I have gathered all the information Around my buddy Sonic the Hedgehog! this collection includes All the characters, all the levels, abilities and stuff like the Chaos Emeralds please enjoy!!!

"What you see is what you get! Just a guy that loves adventure! I'm Sonic the Hedgehog! Sonic Adventure 2.
Sonic the Hedgehog (ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ Sonikku za Hejjihoggu) is the titular main protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series and Sega's mascot. He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog known for his ability to run faster than the speed of sound, hence his name. As his species implies, Sonic can also roll up into a concussive ball, primarily to attack enemies
Born on Christmas Island, Sonic abandoned his home at an early age to pursue a life of adventures. He has spent most of his life traveling around the world and beyond, usually accompanied by his best friend, Tails. In his journeys, he has defended his world and others from various threats, especially his arch-nemesis, Dr. Eggman.

Sonic
During his many adventures, Sonic has traveled from the ends of the world to the far reaches of space and time, earning many titles, allies, and foes. Known for his attitude and somewhat short temper, yet strong sense of justice and love for freedom, Sonic's victories have made him a celebrated hero. However, he remains indifferent to his fame, preferring to live on his own terms.

While several people have been involved in the creation of Sonic, the artist Naoto Ohshima, programmer Yuji Naka, and designer Hirokazu Yasuhara are generally credited with the creation of the character.
In April 1990, Sega sought a new mascot to rival Nintendo's Mario; then-Sega president Hayao Nakayama in particular wanted a character as iconic as Mickey Mouse. Sega had previously used Alex Kidd as their mascot, but because he was considered too similar to Mario, he was deemed unsatisfactory. The team at Sega's AM8 R&D department submitted several designs, including a wolf, bulldog, robot, and warrior character. An early idea by Naoto Ohshima was a rabbit who could grab objects with his ears, but was found too slow and complex for the Sega Mega Drive's hardware. Naka, who had joined Ohshima as a programmer, wanted a fast-paced yet simple game. Conceptualizing a rolling attack, the duo, supervised by Yasuhara, researched animals that could naturally roll, arriving at a shortlist of an armadillo and a hedgehog. The latter was chosen due to the spikes' visual appeal.

Sonic's base design was based off an originally discarded sketch of a character named "Mr. Hedgehog", by Ohshima. The team settled on Sonic's final name to represent speed and took the name Sonic Team. Sonic was designed to be easy for children to draw. His shade of blue was adjusted several times during development to match Sega's logo and for higher contrast against backgrounds. Ohshima combined Felix the Cat's head with Mickey Mouse's body for Sonic's design, with inspiration from Michael Jackson's boots on the album cover for Bad and Santa Claus's red and white color scheme for his shoes. Sonic was created without the ability to swim because of Naka's mistaken assumption that hedgehogs could not do so. His personality was created under three pillars: "cool", "challenger", and a backstory. He was influenced by Bill Clinton's "get it done" attitude, who Ohshima felt embodied a modern sensibility of wanting to get things done right away. Ohshima and Yasuhara wrote a backstory, influenced by World War II-era aviation imagery, which featured a jet pilot nicknamed "Hedgehog" due to his spiked hair, who had Sonic's likeness emblazoned on his flight jacket and plane as nose art. According to this story, the games were set in a children's story written by the pilot's wife.
Early concepts gave Sonic fangs and put him in a band with a human girlfriend named Madonna, ideas scrapped by Sega of America to keep his identity simple. Sonic's proportions were adjusted for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, with the original head-to-height ratio changed from 1:2 to 1:2.5. During the series' early years, Western material did some modifications to his design, such as sharper eyes and a mohawk-like hairstyle, but these were slowly phased out as the Japanese canon became the standard.
Sonic Team redesigned Sonic and the other characters during the development of Sonic Adventure to make them more suitable for 3D environments and give them an "edgy" look. A contest was held at Sega to determine who would be in charge of the redesigns, with Yuji Uekawa emerging as the winner. His new design was influenced by various styles, including other Sega artists, Akira Toriyama, Susumu Matsushita, and Walt Disney. Sonic's new look features taller proportions, green eyes, and a deeper blue color. For Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), his design was further modified to look more adult and taller, with visible fur and a lankier body to fit better with the game's human characters.

Sonic had a few voice samples in Sonic CD provided by designer Masato Nishimura. In Japanese arcade games, including SegaSonic the Hedgehog, Sonic was voiced by Takeshi Kusao. Jun'ichi Kanemaru voiced Sonic in Sonic Adventure; he was chosen because of his juvenile voice and frequent use of English. Kanemaru has continually voiced Sonic in the games since. In Sonic Unleashed, the character's Werehog form was voiced by Tomokazu Seki.
Sonic first spoke in the games in English in Sonic's Schoolhouse, where he was voiced by Meg Inglima. Sonic was voiced by an unknown voice actor in SegaSonic Cosmo Fighter's English translation in Sega World Sydney. Starting from Sonic Adventure, Sonic was voiced by Ryan Drummond. Jason Griffith, who voiced the character in Sonic X, replaced Drummond from 2005's Shadow the Hedgehog. Griffith was later replaced by Roger Craig Smith from 2010's Sonic Free Riders onwards. Smith stated in January 2021 that he would no longer voice Sonic, but he reversed course later in May. Smith continues to voice the character as of January 2025. In Sonic Prime, Sonic was voiced by Canadian Deven Mack.

Sonic is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with blue fur that covers most of his body, and peach skin that covers his arms, muzzle, insides of his ears and front torso. He has small, triangular ears on top of his head, six long quills on the back of his head, two spines protruding from his back behind his shoulders, and a short tail. Sonic is 100 centimeters (3 ft 3 in) tall and weighs 35 kilograms (77 lb). For attire, he wears red shoes and white gloves.
Sonic's original design gives him a short body, with a round torso and black eyes. His current design features a taller and thinner body with green eyes. Originally, he was shown to have peach-skinned eyelids, until they were changed to blue in Sonic Heroes.

Note: This is an abbreviated look at Sonic's history, focusing primarily on his three most recent mainline adventures. For a complete history of Sonic, see Sonic the Hedgehog/History and appearances (1991 - 2006) and (2007 - present). For his history in the IDW comics and Sonic Prime, see Sonic the Hedgehog/History and appearances (IDW) and Sonic the Hedgehog/History and appearances (Sonic Prime).

Sonic was born on June 23 on Christmas Island, but abandoned his home to pursue adventures. At some point, he met Doctor Ivo Robotnik, a mad scientist seeking global domination. Sonic nicknamed his adversary "Eggman" —a name later picked by the doctor himself—and would consistently thwart his plans.

At the start of the Death Egg saga, Sonic learned that Eggman had invaded South Island to seek out the Chaos Emeralds resting there, kidnapping the local Animals and turning them into robots called "Badniks". After expelling the doctor from the island, he thwarted his plan to capture Little Planet and adquire its Time Stones to conquer spacetime, meeting Amy Rose along the way. Soon after, Sonic travelled to West Side Island and met Miles "Tails" Prower, who joined him in stopping Eggman from launching his Death Egg space station. However, the Death Egg crash-landed on Angel Island, whose guardian, Knuckles the Echidna, was fooled into thinking Sonic and Tails had evil intentions. The duo traveled through Angel Island, sabotaging the Death Egg's relaunching and causing it to crash into Lava Reef. They eventually befriended Knuckles and destroyed the space station for good, with Sonic transforming into Super Sonic with the seven Chaos Emeralds to chase Eggman into space.
In the aftermath, Sonic would find himself facing more schemes from Eggman. Amongst other adventures, he would destroy the Death Egg mk.II, face a bounty hunter known as Fang the Hunter, and meet an older version of himself. Despite Eggman's persistence, Sonic emerged victorious in every situation.
Sonic eventually found out that Eggman was seeking to tame Chaos, an ancient god of destruction, to annihilate Station Square. He teamed up with Tails to acquire the Chaos Emeralds before Eggman did to power up the beast. Along the way, he met the ancient echidna spirit Tikal, and from her learned much of the Chaos's violent history. Ultimately, despite Sonic's efforts, Chaos harnessed the seven Emeralds and transformed into Perfect Chaos. Sonic transformed into Super Sonic and defeated Perfect Chaos, reverting the creature to his original peaceful form.
Sonic was later falsely framed as an escapee by the Guardian Units of Nations (G.U.N.) military. While fleeing persecution, he discovered that he had been mistaken with Shadow the Hedgehog, who had teamed up with Eggman to adquire the seven Chaos Emeralds. Sonic partnered with his friends to uncover Eggman's plan, which was to hold the world hostage with the Eclipse Cannon, a superweapon held onboard the Space Colony ARK. The heroes infiltrated the colony to sabotage the doctor's scheme. Although they ultimately failed, both parties learned that they had been fooled by an elaborate revenge plan posthumously initiated by Eggman's late grandfather, Gerald Robotnik. With the colony on a rapid collision course with Earth, Sonic teamed up with his friends and foes and saved the world.

Sonic would later form "Team Sonic" alongside Tails and Knuckles to foil Neo Metal Sonic, a transformed version of Metal Sonic that was masquareding as Eggman. After a series of battles against rival teams, the group defeated the robot. Afterwards, Sonic discovered and befriended Emerl, who was later discovered to be an ancient weapon of mass destruction. He was forced to destroy the robot to save the world after Eggman attempted to control Emerl. In another adventure, Sonic met a time traveller known as Silver the Hedgehog and found himself embroiled in a conflict revolving around a sun deity called Solaris that was split into two, leading to him protecting Princess Elise the Third from Eggman and ultimately going to the past to erase Solaris from existence. Later, when Eggman shattered Earth and unleashed an entity called Dark Gaia, Sonic was infused with a Werehog transformation and embarked on a journey around the planet to restore it.
In a subsequent adventure, Sonic befriended aliens called Wisps and destroyed Eggman's Egg Planet Park, which he was using as a cover-up for world conquest. Sonic would later celebrate his birthday party when he and his friends were kidnapped by the Time Eater, a deity of time later revealed to be controlled by Eggman. Trapped in a void known as White Space, Sonic met a younger version of himself known as Classic Sonic and traveled through various points of his earlier life. The Sonics eventually gathered the seven Chaos Emeralds and destroyed the Time Eater before parting ways. Afterwards, Sonic and Tails pursued Eggman to the Lost Hex, where they were forced to team up with the doctor after the locals, the Deadly Six, took over Eggman's inventions to destroy the world.

Sonic was later defeated by Infinite, Eggman's new right-hand man who was using a mysterious gem known as the Phantom Ruby to empower himself. He was then held captive onboard the rebuilt Death Egg. Without his nemesis to foil him, Eggman conquered the world but was opposed by Sonic's friends, who formed a guerrilla group known as the Resistance, triggering the War to Take Back the Planet. After six months of captivity, Sonic was freed by a Resistance recruit known as the "Avatar" and reunited with Classic Sonic. The trio, alongside the rest of the Resistance, faced off against Eggman's army and Infinite, ultimately overthrowing the doctor's regime.

During his latest adventure, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy traveled to the Starfall Islands following unusual Chaos Emerald readings. Upon arrival, they were sucked into a wormhole, separating Sonic from his friends. After escaping a digital realm called Cyber Space, Sonic journeyed through the Starfall Islands, encountering his friends in digitized states and suffering from increasing cyber corruption. Guided by a mysterious voice, Sonic was tasked with destroying the islands' Titans to rescue his friends. He also met Sage, an AI created by Eggman, who was trapped in Cyber Space. After destroying the Titans and freeing his friends and Eggman, Sonic inadvertently released a malevolent entity called The End. Transforming into Super Sonic, he teamed up with Sage to destroy The End, leading to Sage's sacrifice.

Sonic is described as "like the wind", a free-spirited drifter with an insatiable appetite for adventure. He values freedom above all else and lives by his own rules rather than societal standards. Sonic's primary passion is speed, and he likes anything that is fast.
Sonic loves traveling around the world, interacting with different cultures present on the planet, and tasting regional dishes—particularly chili dogs—considering himself a connoisseur. He never stays in one place for long and always seeks his next challenge, viewing life as a never-ending series of adventures. Sonic hates being constrained, which tends to make him very uneasy and restless. However, he has shown the ability to remain calm even after six months of imprisonment onboard the Death Egg. Despite his love for the outdoors, he enjoys quieter activities, such as reading on rainy days.

Sonic has a calm and carefree demeanor but can be impatient, impulsive and short-tempered. He can be reckless and quick to act before thinking, acting before thinking and ignoring others' warnings. Nevertheless, he is honest, fearless, and always keeps his promises.
Sonic's personality is a juxtaposition of kindness and ferocity. He hates deceit, unfairness, and evil in all its forms, being enraged when witnessing injustice and doing all he can to stop it. For this reason, he has a very strong sense of justice, but fights for the ideal of freedom rather the name of the law. He is also very selfless, always standing for the underdog without expecting anything in return. He is motivated by personal entertainment, indifferent to his fame, and will always do what he sees as correct, even if it means trouble or being despised by others. For this reason, he does not consider himself a "hero".

Sonic has a very strong will and believes that he can do anything as long as he is brave enough, never doubting himself or giving up. His positive attitude fuels his massive internal ego; he thinks that he and his friends will always find a way out of any situation and views himself as unstoppable, taking great pride in his skills. In times of crisis, though, he becomes aggressive and intensely focused. It is only in the moments of greatest loss that his carefree appearance falls away, like in the apparent deaths of his closest friends or loved ones.
Sonic deeply cares about his friends and will risk his life for them without any due consideration. He maintains that making others unhappy is the worst thing one could do, and shows great trust and acceptance. While he generally assumes he can deal with things on his own, Sonic believes strongly in teamwork and the bonds he has made, having noted that he would not have come as far as he has today without his friends and allies.

Sonic holds everyone to the same level as himself but can often appear rude, specially to authorities. Despite this, he can be a gentleman when he wants to and be modest with fancy titles. He also admires his enemies for their strength and the challenges they present.
Sonic often makes quips and jokes to lighten the mood and will take any opportunity to taunt his opponents. He is also very competitive, never holding back when pitted against others in a test of skills and abilities. Nevertheless, Sonic is not one to usually hold ill against others in case he loses in an competition to them. Despite his penchant for sarcasm, Sonic gets irritated when his species is misidentified, always correcting others to emphasize that he is a hedgehog.
"Every world has its end... I know it's kind of sad, but that's why we gotta live life to the fullest in the time that we have. At least, that's what I figure."
Sonic is very insightful, capable of seeing through deception or noticing things that others would have overlooked. He can likewise give valuable and comforting advices that drastically change the outlook of others. He has an adversion for eternity, believing that a world that goes on forever is dull and maintaining that life is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest. He also has a remarkable capacity to forgive, one example of this being when he partnered with Silver and worked with him after the latter had tried to kill him twice.
Sonic loves nature and scenic views, and detests environmental pollution as a result. Additionally, he enjoys cool music and frequently breakdances, incorporating such moves in his attacks.

Always prepared to put his life on the line to protect others, be they friends or civilians, Sonic is a carefree spirit and a fearless daredevil at heart. He is driven by his own personal code of justice that compels him to respond to any form of evil, no matter how great or how overwhelming its threat is. This attitude sometimes gets him in trouble, but it also makes him the answer to evil anywhere and everywhere. Unlike most others, Sonic finds fun in fighting and thwarting evil, primarily in the form of Dr. Eggman and his empire. Even when locked in a battle to the death, Sonic cannot help finding excitement and entertainment in such situations, namely because he has experienced them so many times that the stakes of such fights hardly faze him anymore. Regardless, he will still confront his enemies with a serious demeanor when the situation warrants it. Despite his usual cocky and laid-back attitude and massive ego, Sonic's defining traits have always been his pure heart of gold and his utter dauntlessness in the face of danger. Despite his ego, Sonic is willing to swallow his pride for the greater good, as shown when he used obsequious flattery to convince his rival, Jet, to help him save the world. Also, despite his devotion to the greater good, he is notably rash, often throwing himself into trouble without much of a plan in mind.

"It's what I do. Just keep moving, doing good, saving folks, and living as free as the wind. Living by my way. My own way."
In keeping with his footloose lifestyle, Sonic values freedom above all else and strives to live his life according to his own rules rather than the standards of those around him or for the sake of heroism and duty. As such, despite his loyalty to his friends and allies, Sonic is typically reluctant to commit to anything that requires him to act primarily under the authority of others, including his friends. As a result, he does not consider himself a part of larger organizations like the Resistance or Restoration, believing that he knows what is best for himself and and can do much more on his own without being tied down by a greater power. At one point, Sonic found error in his ways as he was an indirect catalyst for Eggman's return and the spread of the Metal Virus.
Sonic is an optimistic individual; as mentioned by his friends, he always puts a positive spin on things. He thus refuses to give into despair, even when faced with a hopeless situation, although he has been known to drop his positivity in the darkest moments in favor of a more sympathetic outlook and somber mood. Despite this, he never gives up and always fights to the end, believing firmly in the righteousness of his decisions and refuses to compromise his ideals and morals out of fear. Also, since he is a hedgehog of action and is constantly looking for new adventures and challenges for himself, having nothing to on an adventure will severely bore Sonic, and staying cooped up for too long tends to make him uneasy due to his hatred of confinement.
Sonic's personality is a juxtaposition of kindness and ferocity. Extremely benevolent, Sonic's heroism is an extension of his philosophy; preferring to keep things simple, Sonic lives for the moment and wants to see the world and enjoy all the thrills and adventures that come from that. Sonic lives his life according to this sense of freedom and wants everyone else to have the freedom to do that too. As such, if he were to take a life, he would be taking away that person's freedom too, which goes against his own rules. Similarly, the peace he has made with several of his enemies in the past has taught him that there are better alternatives to neutralizing a threat than eliminating it, having experienced difficult cases of villains who wanted to destroy the world but were reformed by him and his allies.

As such, while he does everything he can to snuff out evil, he is always willing to give people that he has "a rocky start" with a chance to rebound and reform themselves so they can restart their relationships on better terms, a philosophy that he is willing to extend even to villains like Dr. Eggman or Dr. Starline. He similarly cannot turn away when someone is in need of aid. Most noticeably, after helping defeat Metal Sonic, he compassionately had the robot repaired in hopes he could convince him to abandon his evil ways. He likewise believes that even the worst person has good in them. Far from a pacifist, however, Sonic refuses to let anyone take away the freedom of others, even when they follow his own philosophy, and will willingly resort to physical methods when a peaceful route is not feasible. As such, he recognizes that peaceful methods do not always work, especially when dealing with an unpredictable enemy.
If Sonic has a flaw besides recklessness and a certain disregard for authority, it is that he tends to take things too much upon himself. Another flaw of his is that he puts a lot of faith in the belief that everyone, even villains like Eggman, has some good in them and are redeemable, something that he himself sometimes regrets and individuals like Shadow and Espio challenge. Also, because he knows that giving others a choice cannot prevent them from making poor decisions, Sonic tends to become disappointed when those he gives a second chance to choose an undesirable path. This does not make him naïve, because he is still aware when enemies pose too much of a threat to be reasoned with.
Sonic cares deeply for his many friends. Despite his loyalty to them, though, he never lingers too long in one place. However, his friends know he will be cruising back into their lives in no time.
As the amnesiac Mr. Needlemouse, Sonic was a more aloof and relaxed individual, taking great interest in learning new things he had not heard of before.
Despite not having undergone any known training, Sonic's years of battles have made him a skilled and powerful fighter. He has defeated giant robots, demons, and god-like beings on his own; gone up against and bested those with far more combat experience; and even beaten individuals who equally match his abilities. It has also been noted that Sonic is steadily growing stronger; during the Time Eater incident, Sonic could beat the Egg Emperor and Perfect Chaos on his own where he previously required additional power to defeat them. Sonic even told Infinite upon holding his own against the latter compared to the previous time they fought that he becomes more powerful every second. It is safe to assume that Sonic is far more powerful than he lets on. His victories over Emerl at the Gizoid's maximum potential and Perfect Chaos in his base form are prime examples of his true power.
Sonic's greatest strength is his super speed. He has proven himself to be in a class of his own with his speed, having been credited as "the fastest thing alive" and even the fastest being in the universe. He has the ability to instantly accelerate to the speed of sound and run at speeds that exceed Mach 1, which is at the blistering speed of about 768 mph, and can run backward just as well as he can forwards. Due to such speed, he can scale vertical surfaces and ceilings, run over water, out speed lasers, and even cause the ground to explode and lift off in his wake.

This speed also allowed him to restore the time and space erased by the Time Eater during that incident. Even then, Sonic can take his speed even further. By revving up in one place, he can take off at turbo speeds in an instant. He can also envelope himself in a blue energy field that lets him accelerate beyond the sound barrier on both the ground and in midair for a short time, allowing him to not only smash straight through enemies and obstacles like a living projectile, but also fly immense distances through midair. Using certain techniques, he can even momentarily reach the speed of light.
It is unknown what Sonic's unaided top speed is. During the Emerl incident, it was stated he can move several times the speed of sound and when facing Emerl at his maximum potential, he went at least ten rounds with him in less than thirty seconds. He is also able to run in circles around an enemy at such speeds that he can stun it. Some sources claim that Sonic's maximum speed is Mach 1.2. It has also often been stated that Sonic can move at supersonic speeds (which ranges from 915-3,840 mph). There are as well records stating that Sonic can instantaneously reach the speed of light (about 671,000,000 mph); E-123 Omega himself calculated that Sonic's speed could potentially exceed light speed and the hedgehog has boasted that light speed is "small time" to him. Additionally, during the Little Planet incident, Sonic was able to enter the Time Warp, which required him to run at speeds exceeding the speed of light.
Sonic has demonstrated complete mastery of his speed in any environment and can use it for both high-speed offense and defense. Not only can he run at maximum tilt in straight lines, but also in full tight circles and through sharp turns with full control over his momentum. As far as stamina goes, Sonic's is seemingly limitless as he is never winded from running. His speed also allows him to perform several impressive feats; he can heal at rapid speeds, launch shockwaves by spinning rapidly, leap in midair, launch stunning waves with fast kicks, increase the force of his blows by striking with increased momentum, and create barriers of super speed. He can also spin in circles or rotate his extremities at super speed to create winds strong enough to attack or blow away opponents, similar to aerokinesis.

Sonic possesses astounding kineticism and precision, and has the reaction time to match his speed. He has profound acrobatic skills and agility, along with incredible reflexes that lets him avoid any incoming obstacles with precise and delicate movements. As seen in his first meeting with Silver, Sonic can even detect attacks beyond his field of vision due to his sharp reflexes. When launched into the air, he can also pull off several tricks before landing. He also has incredible jumping skills, capable of jumping up to several hundred meters, even with extra weight.
Sonic possesses notable strength. He can push and lift things bigger and heavier than himself, run without extra weight slowing him down, smash through metal and rock, and damage foes countless times his size. However, it is debatable whether the latter's power comes from his speed, strength, or a combination of both. Sonic's strength particularly lies in his legs; with a single kick, he can topple the Egg Golem and send Badniks flying. This does not mean that Sonic's arms are not strong either; he has enough strength to tear robots apart by hand and punch through a collapsed wall.
Sonic has frequently demonstrated extreme resilience to damage. He can survive getting caught in the crossfire from all angles by Eggman's robots (which only knocked him out cold briefly), withstand the force of a massive explosion and a Hyper-go-on-based void unscathed, being pummeled with swords, resist a powerful punch from Knuckles from his foot, smash through several robots with his fist without discomfort, and take a ruthless pummeling from the Time Eater. Additionally, Sonic has more than once survived impacts from falls at extreme heights, bordering at the edge of space, only to shake it off when landing, and has even withstood atmospheric entry.
"Even at night, when I'm like this, I'm still myself. Not like all the other people we've seen. You must have been protecting me this whole time.
I haven't done anything, Sonic. You're the reason you haven't changed at all. You're too strong to lose yourself!
I'm the reason?
Yeah! You never doubt yourself, no matter what. You never give in to the night, or to the darkness inside your heart."
Sonic possesses an unbreakable and incorruptible spirit; in situations where most others would give up and where he is severely outnumbered and outgunned, Sonic never loses faith in himself and never surrenders. This trait enables him to keep on fighting when utterly exhausted or after taking an abnormal amount of damage. His will even lets him withstand mind-controlling powers, like the corruptive influence of Dark Gaia. Even when possessed by the Ifrit, Sonic was arguably able to occasionally regain control.
Sonic has also demonstrated the ability to harness Chaos Emerald energy for his own use; with a Chaos Emerald, Sonic can perform the chaos power Chaos Control, and occasionally gain a boost in power.

Sonic's core offensive maneuver is the Spin Attack, a technique where he curls into a concussive ball or cutting disk and directs himself at his targets. With it, Sonic can shred or burrow through just about any substance given enough speed and hit with enough force to pierce colossal boulders. Highly adept in its usage, Sonic can utilize several variants of the Spin Attack for both grounded and aerial maneuvers, including the Spin Dash, Spin Jump, Homing Attack, the super-charged Focused Homing Attack, and the Light Speed Attack, which attacks at the speed of light.

Even without his Spin Attack, Sonic is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant. He mostly relies on his fast footwork since the majority of his power lies in his legs, though he has been known to use his fists and arms from time to time, albeit in a rather straightforward manner. His fighting style is mostly derived from breakdancing moves which utilize Sonic's legs to their fullest, allowing him to deliver swift, wide-ranged kicks. He has also been known to use flying forward kicks, split kicks, and scissor kicks. Sonic was also shown during the scabbard of Excalibur incident to excel in swordsmanship. Even as a rookie swordsman, Sonic could beat a dragon and after receiving formal training, he could best master swordsmen like the Knights of the Round Table. In addition to using advanced techniques, Sonic can apply his speed to his swordplay for quick and swift slashes, and become a buzzsaw by spinning with his sword, enabling him to slice clean through enemies. He has also learned the martial art of Linshao Kung Fu from Shuifon, though he is yet to be seen using it.

Sonic has extraordinary skill in operating vehicles. He has excellent skills when it comes to piloting planes like the Tornado, and water bike surfing on vessels like the Wave Cyclone. He is also experienced in a variation of sports such as boarding and surfing, and other recreational activities like grinding. As shown during Dodon Pa's Grand Prix, Sonic is also an expert at driving sport cars like the Speed Star. He has even demonstrated that he is capable of driving his car sideways and backwards just as well as he can forwards, and can keep up with other expert drivers like Shadow while driving from these directions.
Sonic has proven himself as a world-class Extreme Gear rider. He is said to move faster than he can run on an Extreme Gear and can go head-to-head with legendary Wind Masters like Jet the Hawk. Sonic seemingly has a knack for Extreme Gear riding, quickly grasping the controls on his first try and later developing advanced techniques despite being self-taught. After the second World Grand Prix, Sonic can be considered the best Extreme Gear rider in the world, having beaten Metal Sonic in a race, who at that point was an "unbeatable" rider with the skills of the world's finest Extreme Gear riders at his disposal.
It appears that Sonic can control the strength and durability of his otherwise soft quills at will. While he is spinning, they appear to be extremely hard like buzzsaw blades; as demonstrated during the Neo Metal Sonic incident, his quills (and body) are durable enough to slice through battleships without even moving at the speed of sound. In addition, Sonic's quills can sense nearby dangers, which they warn him about by creating a tingling sensation. A similar precognitive ability of his that allows him to sense nearby danger comes in the form of sneezing. Sonic has also demonstrated the ability to transfer his speed throughout various parts of his body, allowing him to immediately set off from stationary positions and even channel it into objects to speed up their movements and make them pierce through solid objects as he does while running. He can also create an effect reminiscent of a time halt, even though it is unknown what it is derived from.

Though he does not prefer to use weapons, mainly dissing firearms, Sonic has wielded a number of tools during his adventures, albeit never permanently. During the Space Colony ARK incident, Sonic used Grind Shoes, which were specifically made for grinding. Also, during the Emerl incident, he utilized deployable landmines in battle, and one time, he would wield his own version of the Piko Piko Hammer. During the World Ring incident, he also wore Shahra's Ring, allowing him to harness Shahra's magic for himself. Similarly, during the scabbard of Excalibur incident, Sonic would wield swords; he initially wielded Clarent, but later exchanged it for Caliburn, a sapient sacred sword with magical properties.

Sonic's trademark ability is his super speed. He can travel up to speeds surpassing Mach 1, which is at the blistering speed of about 768 mph(1234 km/h). He also utilizes this in hand-to-hand combat as shown when facing Neo Metal Sonic, giving him quick reflexes and reaction time. While running, Sonic resembles a blue streak from a distance that leaves a blue trail behind him. At the same time, he is experienced enough with his speed to turn easily while maintaining his speed.
While Sonic's top speed is unknown, glimpses of Sonic's prowess are shown in his tendency to routinely scale vertical walls, effortlessly knock down enemies in his path, run over water, and ability to build up enough momentum to throw spears with such force that they can pierce large metal structures while exerting enough air pressure to blow said structures apart.
His speed also allows him to perform several impressive feats, such as creating small tornadoes by running around in circles at super speeds. Sonic's speed is so great that he could eventually outpace a spatial maze reality that folds back in on itself ad infinitum, which even Dr. Eggman knew could not hold Sonic for long. Sonic can also use the Boost to not only increase his speed but also barge through obstacles in his path.
Sonic has demonstrated complete mastery of his speed at nearly any level. Not only can he run at a maximum tilt in straight lines, but also through sharp turns with full control over his momentum, and without recklessly crashing into unintended targets. To match his super speed, Sonic also has immense, though not quite limitless, stamina that allows him to run at high speed for days without rest.
Sonic is also a skilled acrobat with quick reflexes and reaction time to match. He is able to perform a variety of aerobatic moves and techniques, even while running. Despite his size, he also has great physical strength; he is able to easily fling Amy Rose and her Piko Piko Hammer several feet into the air singlehandedly, overpower Master Overlord's giant grip alongside Shadow} and Knuckles, and set off with enough power to bend thick metal armor. Sonic can also ascend hundreds of meters into the air with a single jump. He is also incredibly durable, being capable of taking a hit from an artillery shell and emerging from it without a scratch, as well as enduring several powerful blows from Zavok without any serious injuries.
Sonic possesses the ability to harness the power of the Chaos Emeralds. With them, Sonic can give himself a boost in power. He is also a capable aerial pilot, able to properly pilot the Tornado at high speed, although he is not nearly as skilled as Tails.
Sonic's core offensive maneuver is the Spin Attack, a technique where he curls into a concussive ball or cutting disk and directs himself at his targets. With it, Sonic can shred or burrow through just about any substance given enough speed, and perform moves like the Spin Dash, Homing Attack and Rolling Combo, though the last one requires the aid of Tails.
By harnessing the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds, Sonic can enter a Super State, transforming him into Super Sonic. Easily his most used transformation, Super Sonic is one of Sonic's strongest forms. In this state, all of Sonic's abilities far surpass his normal ones. He is also able to fly and is nearly invulnerable. However, this transformation consumes a lot of energy, meaning it cannot be maintained for long.

By harnessing the power of the Cyber corruption at half its potential, Super Sonic can enter a superior state, transforming him into Super Sonic 2. Being a "successor" of Super Sonic, this form retains the same traits as it, except Super Sonic 2 gains a power and speed increase.
Note: I like calling it Super Sonic Starfall

By harnessing different variants of Hyper-go-on from Wisps, Sonic can use specific Color Powers to transform into a certain form, such as a drill, a laser or even a fireball, each one possessing its own unique abilities. So far, Sonic has been able to transform into the Cyan Laser, Yellow Drill, Blue Cube, Green Hover, Pink Spikes, Purple Frenzy, Violet Void, Orange Rocket, Red Burst, Indigo Asteroid, Magenta Rhythm, Crimson Eagle, Ivory Lightning, Gray Quake, Black Bomb, and Jade Ghost. However, these transformations require a steady supply of Hyper-go-on to be maintained.

While not aquaphobic, Sonic is a very poor swimmer, and he is incapable of swimming properly. Furthermore, whilst underwater, Sonic's speed will be greatly decreased.
It has been stated that if Sonic does not sleep for eight hours during the night, it will spoil his running. In addition, he has trouble keeping his balance when coming to a sudden halt when running at high speed.
Because of Sonic's giant internal ego, he often banters and plays around with his enemies. This usually makes him underestimate his opponents and leave his guard down, as seen during his encounter with Infinite in Mystic Jungle during the War to Take Back the Planet and when he got trapped by Eggman onboard the Chaos Energy Cannon at the start of the Dark Gaia incident. Also, his impulsiveness and recklessness can often cause trouble, such as during the Lost Hex incident where he got rid of Eggman's Cacophonic Conch, which Eggman used to keep the Deadly Six in line, before listening to Tails' warnings about the conch.
After Sonic does a mistake that causes his reality to shatter, he must go on an adventure of redemption and self-discovery to save the friends he once took for granted. He quickly learns that these new worlds and its inhabitants are not as friendly as his usual friends, but that doesn't stop the energetic and charismatic hedgehog to try and befriend them. Sonic also needs to befriend his old rival Shadow once again, which proves to be a difficult task.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures and its spin-offs, Sonic is an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog from Mobius who was born with immense powers that are desired by many people. He lived with his parental figure, Longclaw, until he was forced to leave his home planet to go to planet Earth. He lived hidden from the society for ten years, until he was forced to leave his home again, since he was wanted by Dr. Robotnik. Trying to escape, Sonic hid in Tom Wachowski's garage, but is discovered and shot by a soothing dart from the police officer, causing him to lose his Rings, his only way to escape. Both had to recover the Rings and escape from the evil Robotnik, who wished to obtain Sonic's powers to conquer the world, but Sonic heroically defeats Robotnik and banishes him into the Mushroom Planet and resettled in Green Hills with the Wachowski family. Later, Sonic found himself in a race to recover the Master Emerald with his newfound partner Tails before it fell into the hands of Robotnik and Knuckles the Echidna. Later teaming up with Knuckles as well, Sonic managed to defeat Robotnik and began to swore to protect the Master Emerald with Tails and Knuckles while they resided with him and the Wachowskis.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing, Sonic's past is the exact same as it is in the games, up until after the events of Sonic Forces. After the Eggman War, Sonic traveled the world to destroy the remaining Badniks, who had been left directionless following Dr. Eggman's disappearance. It later turns out that Eggman had lost his memory, and that Neo Metal Sonic had taken control of Eggman Empire. Together with his friends, Sonic defeated Metal Sonic, but let him go, convinced that without Eggman, he would be harmless. Sometime later, Sonic became infected with the Metal Virus, a Zombot-producing virus created by Eggman, who had his memories restored by Dr. Starline. In spite of the incoming pandemic, Sonic managed to cure himself and save the world from the Deadly Six's attempt to use the Zombot hordes to destroy the world, but he had to join forces with his enemies to succeed. In the aftermath, Sonic went missing for a while by accidentally ending up in Blaze's dimension. However, he returned in time to save his friends from Eggman. Over the next period, Sonic would clash with Dr. Starline, Eggman, and the Deadly Six.

As Sega's mascot and one of the key reasons for the company's success during the 16-bit era of consoles, Sonic is one of the most recognizable video game characters in the world. In 1996, Sonic was the first video game character to be seen in a Rose Parade. Sonic is also the first video game character to have a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Sonic was one of the three game characters inducted on the inaugural Walk of Game class in 2005, along with his Nintendo rivals Mario and Link. One of a class of genes involved in fruit fly embryonic development, called hedgehog genes, has been named "Sonic hedgehog" after the character.
Sonic has been acknowledged as, undoubtedly, the most recognizable and famous character in the Sonic the Hedgehog series according to an official popularity poll. As Sega's mascot, Sonic has also been used as a symbol for the company's various sponsorships. Between 1993 and 1997, Sega sponsored the JEF United Ichihara Chiba football team, during which period Sonic appeared in the team's uniform. During the 1993 Formula One championship, Sega sponsored the Williams Grand Prix team, which won the Constructors' Championship that year, as well as the team's lead driver, Alain Prost, winning the Drivers' Championship. Sonic was featured in the cars, helmets, and rival McLaren used to paint pictures of a squashed hedgehog after winning races over Williams. The 1993 European Grand Prix featured a Sonic balloon and Sonic billboards, and the race's trophy was in the shape of a hedgehog. Sonic also appears on some versions of the willow video store logo.
In 2008, Sonic was voted the most popular video game character in the UK with a 24% vote. His old rival, Mario, came second with 21% of the vote.

Doctor Ivo Robotnik (ドクター・イヴォ・ロボトニック Dokutā Ivo Robotonikku), better known by the alias Doctor Eggman (ドクター・エッグマン Dokutā Egguman), is the main antagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. A brilliant scientist with an IQ of 300, Eggman is driven by a desire to conquer the world and establish his own empire, the Eggman Empire. Central to his vision is Eggmanland, a city he seeks to build as the backbone of his regime. His ambitions are fueled by his love of machines and extreme egomania.

Eggman
Eggman continually devises plots to achieve world domination, which range from using Animals to power his robots—known as Badniks—to constructing massive war machines, harnessing ancient powers, and manipulating spacetime itself. Despite his genius, his plans are always foiled by Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends. Nevertheless, Eggman remains undeterred, always managing to escape capture and continuing his quest for conquest. His narcissism and immature behavior often lead to his downfall, but his unrelenting pursuit of power makes him one of the most dangerous threats in the universe.

In April 1990, Sega sought a new mascot to rival Nintendo's Mario. Several character designs were submitted by its AM8 research and development department, which later evolved into Sonic Team. Among these was a sketch of a mustachioed man in pajamas, drawn by Naoto Ohshima. This concept was set aside in favor of Sonic the Hedgehog, also designed by Ohshima.
Seeing potential in the design, Sonic Team eventually revisited the concept, retooling him into the main antagonist instead. Ohshima aimed for a design that was easy for children to draw, hence the rotund shape. In developing the character, the team made him Sonic's opposite, representing technology to play on the environmentalist culture of the 1990s. When in development the character was named "Eggman" is a mystery, as he spent some time designed like a bee.

When Sonic the Hedgehog first released, Sega of America named the character "Dr. Ivo Robotnik". This name was made by Sega game counselor and designer Dean Sitton: "Ivo" was picked because of its phonetic similarity with the word evil and its reversal to ovi, Latin for eggs, while "Robotnik" was chosen for its Slavic roots related to work, fitting with the game's industrial themes. Other names considered were "Mr. Badwrench" and "Dr. X". This name change was done without Sonic Team's consent.
Sega of America developed their canon in their Sonic Bible document, a reference document used by screenwriters, they established that Robotnik was originally a kind scientist named "Dr. Ovi Kintobor", who turned into his current self following a lab accident. The character was depicted with inconsistent designs in the West, often with variations from the Japanese design, such as omitting his glasses and gloves, and exposing completely black eyes. In some occasions, his designs from the DiC Entertainment cartoons were used instead, such as in Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. These differences were slowly abandoned over time, and the Japanese canon became the standard.

Throughout the 1990s, the character was exclusively known as "Eggman" in Japan, and as "Robotnik" in the West. Sonic Adventure was the first time both names were officially used, with subsequent releases primarily referring to the character as "Eggman". Since, it was established that "Ivo Robotnik" was his birth name and "Eggman" a nickname coined by Sonic that the doctor adopted. The name "Robotnik" is occasionally acknowledged for the character's family, but is used very rarely to refer to Eggman himself in Japan.
Several people have portrayed Eggman in the games. Masaharu Satō portrayed him in several arcade games, including SegaSonic the Hedgehog. Eggman was voiced by Chikao Ōtsuka in the games from Sonic Adventure until Ōtsuka's death in 2015. Kotaro Nakamura has served as the character's Japanese-language voice actor since. In the third season of Sonic Prime, due to Nakamura's health complications at the time, Eggman was instead voiced by Mitsuaki Kanuka.
The first English-language voice actor for Eggman in the video games was Deem Bristow, debuting in Sonic Adventure. Bristow continued to portray him for the next few years, with his final game being Sonic Advance 3 prior to his death in early 2005. Mike Pollock, who had voiced the character in Sonic X, replaced Bristow in 2005's Shadow the Hedgehog. All of the cast was replaced starting with 2010's Sonic Free Riders with the notable exception of Pollock, who continues to voice Eggman as of January 2025 and is the longest-serving English-language voice actor in the series. In Sonic Prime, Eggman was voiced by Canadian Brian Drummond, who previously voiced Knuckles in Sonic Underground.
Eggman is an obese human with a small, bald head. He has a distinct pinkish nose and a bushy, mahogany mustache. His eyes, which are very rarely seen, are colored blue. Eggman's height is 185 centimeters (6 ft 1 in) and he weighs 128 kilograms (282 lb).
Eggman's Classic design features a totally spherical torso with thin but proportionate arms and legs. He wears a red top with a short yellow cape, attached to his shoulders by a triangular collar, black pants with attached boots and a pair of large silver buttons on the front. This outfit is complemented by white gloves and blue pince-nez glasses that completely hide his eyes. His mustache is neatly groomed, with only three tufts sticking out at each end.

In his Modern redesign, Eggman is depicted as somewhat taller and burlier. His arms and legs have become long and almost disproportionately thin, while his mustache has become more unkempt. For attire, he retains his signature glasses and gloves but incorporates the "Egg Goggles" which sit on his forehead, although he very rarely uses them. He now dons a red coat adorned with four golden buttons on each side of the chest, each accompanied by white straps running to additional identical buttons on the back. The coat features silver linings down the back, arms, and front, yellow cuffs, and two extensions on the front with large silver buttons. Additionally, Eggman wears black pants with matching boots, which have circular plates on both sides of the ankles and three square ones extending up the shin.
Eggman's family was prominent in science, with many members becoming distinguished intellectuals. His paternal grandfather was Gerald Robotnik, regarded as one of the greatest scientists of all time, who designed the Space Colony ARK and directed Project Shadow. One of his cousins was Maria, who lived on the ARK due to chronic illness and was killed there prior to its closure fifty years ago.
Robotnik's God complex eventually led him to seek a planetary empire with himself as its leader. His plans to achieve world conquest, however, would be continually foiled by Sonic the Hedgehog, who nicknamed him "Eggman" due to his egg-shaped body; Robotnik himself later adopted the name as a sign of empowerment.
At the start of the "Death Egg saga", Eggman invaded South Island, kidnapping its Animals to use as fuel sources for his new robot army, the Badniks. His goal was to find the six Chaos Emeralds said to rest there to build weapons of mass destruction. However, Sonic secured the Emeralds first and expelled the doctor from the island. Eggman later chained Little Planet during its annual appearance over Never Lake, coveting its Time Stones to control time. He was also served by Metal Sonic, a robotic doppelgänger of Sonic. Despite his efforts, his plans were foiled by Sonic once again. He eventually travelled to West Side Island to find the seven Chaos Emeralds, this time to power his space station, the Death Egg. Although Sonic and his new friend, Tails, got the gems first, Eggman launched the Death Egg anyway. His success was short-lived however, as Sonic boarded it and damaged it, causing it to plummet to Angel Island, kept in the sky by the Master Emerald. He falsely told its guardian, Knuckles the Echidna, that Sonic and Tails were hunting for the Chaos Emeralds, buying him time to repair the Death Egg. Once the spaceship was complete, Eggman betrayed Knuckles and stole the Master Emerald to fuel it. However, Sonic and Tails boarded the Death Egg, destroying it for good and reclaiming the Master Emerald.
"Sonic... that annoying, cocky hedgehog. Thanks to him, my great plans are always ruined. Oh, but this time, I'm going to crush him with the power of my science! Ha ha ha..."

Eggman would go on to hatch more schemes to take over the world, like building a Death Egg mk.II around Little Planet and discovering a gem known as the Phantom Ruby. In one incident, he even met an older version of himself to defeat Sonic. Each time, however, Eggman would fail.
Eggman eventually unleashed a deity of destruction known as Chaos. His plan was to feed him the seven Chaos Emeralds and use him to destroy Station Square to build Eggmanland on its ruins. Central to his scheme were also the Egg Carrier airship and the E-100 Series Badnik robots. Although he came close to achieving his goal, giving Chaos six of the Emeralds, Sonic and his friends ultimately destroyed the Egg Carrier and seemingly killed Chaos. Devastated, Eggman attempted a suicide attack on Station Square that was foiled by Tails. Not long after, he rediscovered Chaos but was knocked out by it as it took the final Emerald, rampaging on Station Square on his own. The doctor tried to stop him with the Egg Carrier 2, but was effortlessly defeated. He survived, only turning up again just in time to witness Sonic's victory against Chaos before withdrawing.
Eggman later discovered his grandfather's diary, which detailed Project Shadow. Intrigued by this lost research, he infiltrated the military facility on Prison Island and released Shadow the Hedgehog, the "Ultimate Life Form" created by Gerald. Together with Shadow and Rouge the Bat, Eggman sought to gather the Chaos Emeralds to power the Eclipse Cannon, a weapon aboard the Space Colony ARK capable of destroying planets. His ultimate goal was to use the ARK to blackmail the world into submission. Despite initial successes, including activating the Eclipse Cannon, Sonic and his friends thwarted Eggman's plans. He was forced to team up with his adversaries after activating a doomsday program that would cause the ARK to crash-land into Earth, culminating in Shadow's apparent sacrifice.

Following this incident, Eggman discovered that Shadow was still alive and placed him in stasis, mass-producing Shadow Androids with his data; Shadow would eventually be freed by Rouge. At the same time, Metal Sonic, as Neo Metal Sonic, went rogue and took over the Eggman Empire. Trapped in the Egg Fleet, the doctor contacted Team Chaotix, who eventually rescued him. He then joined Sonic and his friends in defeating Neo Metal Sonic. Soon after, Eggman attempted to control Emerl, an ancient weapon, but Sonic destroyed the robot after it ran amok. Eggman then engaged with the alien Black Arms, and later tried to exploit the power of the sun god Solaris, an event undone after Sonic time traveled to erase Solaris from existence. In another incident, Eggman shattered Earth with the Chaos Energy Cannon, unleashing Light and Dark Gaia. His plan was to harness Dark Gaia's power to build Eggmanland, but Sonic thwarted his plans and restored the planet.

Later, Eggman learned of the Wisps, aliens containing Hyper-go-on energy, which he planned to use for a mind control cannon to conquer the universe. He chained the Wisps' home planets to an interstellar amusement park, Egg Planet Park, which he falsely claimed in public was built to redeem himself. However, Sonic and Tails uncovered his plan, freed the Wisps, and destroyed the park. Stranded in space, the doctor discovered the Time Eater, a deity that could control spacetime, and used the creature to kidnap many locations from Sonic's past, teaming up with his past self, Classic Eggman. However, the Eggmen were defeated by Sonic and his own younger self. Eggman then set up camp on the Lost Hex and enslaved the Deadly Six to harness the world's life energy, but was forced to team up with Sonic after losing control over them.

Eggman later re-discovered the Phantom Ruby and used it to empower Infinite, his new right-hand man. With this power, Eggman defeated Sonic and imprisoned him on a rebuilt Death Egg, allowing him to conquer the world. However, he was opposed by Sonic's friends, who formed the Resistance, triggering the War to Take Back the Planet. Six months later, the Resistance freed Sonic and was joined by Classic Sonic. Despite Eggman's efforts to foil them, the heroes liberated most of the planet and defeated Infinite. Eggman then used the Phantom Ruby and the Death Egg Robot in a final effort to win the war, but was ultimately defeated by Sonic and his friends.

Most recently, Eggman sought to exploit the advanced technology created by the alien Ancients on the Starfall Islands. He created an AI named Sage for protection but became trapped in Cyber Space. Over time, he inadvertently bonded with Sage, whose abilities far exceeded his expectations. Sonic eventually destroyed the islands' Titans, freeing his friends and Eggman, but also releasing The End, a world-threatening entity. Sonic defeated The End with Sage's help, culminating in Sage's sacrifice. Devastated, Eggman later recovered Sage's data and partially restored her much to her joy.
"Sage keeps running the numbers by me and its getting tedious. Yes, the power that wiped out the Ancients was formidable. Yes, unleashing it on this world would be catastrophic. But I'm a genius. Once I'm out of here I'll find a way to handle it. Better yet, weaponize it against Sonic!"

Described as the world's vilest person and worst screw-up, Eggman is an immoral mad scientist who only thinks about doing bad things. He always aspires to conquer the world to create what he deems a utopia, dubbed "Eggmanland". This gives him ridiculous delusions of grandeur and the psychotic belief that the world's problems will be solved if he rules it despite being far from the case. Eggman constantly uses his scientific genius and robotic expertise to create weapons and gadgets in his bid to build Eggmanland.

Eggman is extremely narcissistic and egotistical, noted for being very selfish, sometimes rude, and greedy. His main motivation is gaining constant attention, and views himself as the best scientist in the world. He has a tendency to plaster his persona all over his creations and bases to fuel his ego, but occasionally bases his work around other themes. Because he places so much value on aesthetics, especially his own, his design philosophy often focuses on design and gimmicks over functionality. Overflowing with self-confidence and pride, he works hard on his speeches and hates it when others interrupt them.

Inmensely self-serving, Eggman only thinks about what he wants and has little regard for the consequences of his actions, viewing the world and its people as inferior and weak. When revealing himself, he ignores his own allies and gives all the credit to himself instead. He is very opportunistic and is only interested in things that benefit him, rarely seeking collaborations with others unless they can aid him in some way. He merely sees others, his own minions included, as pawns to be used and discarded when they have outlasted their purpose, imposing harsh punishments on those that disobey or disappoint him and using them as vessels of both psychological and physical abuse. He even remodeled Zeta, one of his E-100 Series robots, as a pillar onboard the Egg Carrier and labeled its history as "Disappointment", all for failing him once. Conversely, he is quick to praise those that impress him and claim they met his expectations, even after initially doubting their capacities.
Eggman has a passion for robotics, being a mechanophile who believes machines are beautiful and takes pride in controlling them. He considers his Badniks his greatest inventions and envisions a world completely mechanized to his liking. He is infamous for his disregard for nature, maintaining that living in a heavily industrialized and polluted place is preferable to being in one with clean air. He has no qualms about kidnapping Animals to use them as living energy sources for his robots.
Eggman's selfish nature is complemented by a very childish behavior and short temper, seen as a source of his desire for world conquest and making him believe that domination is an easy task. He is very short-tempered and can be angered very easily, prone to throwing tantrums and fits of rage when things do not go his way. Eggman can be cocky and resorts to mean-spirited mockery when he feels he has the upper hand. He often disrespects others by addressing them with a characteristic of theirs rather than their name. On a similar note, he was also shown to possess a rather bleak and cruel sense of humor and some self-awareness, casually narrating the dangers his bases pose through PA announcements and even jovially describing his robotomy treatment, which strips patients of basic functions, as the "good life". He also does not believe in fair play, and prefers to win games by cheating, to the point that he proudly admits it out loud. He will proudly celebrate his "victories", even if they stem from foul play.
"The Eggman Empire is your friend. We're committed to sustainable choices, including keeping critters safe by putting them in robots."

One of Eggman's strongest points is his absolute refusal to give up and determination to succeed, even in seemingly hopeless scenarios, and merely views defeats as setbacks rather than discouragements. Despite his dedication, he can also be brash, careless, and somewhat impatient; his obsession makes him overlook major details and commit blunders that cost him victory. This leads to him celebrating prematurely and complaining about bad luck when plans fail, instead preferring to do things his own way, ignoring constructive feedback and evading responsibility for his mistakes, which has earned him a reputation for screwing up at his plans.
"I will finally accomplish my goal of world domination! I can see it now! The world will bow before me! You can do naught but wait, cowering in fear! You poor weaklings! You shall learn to fear me! So long, my loud-mouthed spiky rat friend! The next time we meet, I shall be the king of the world!"
Eggman can be very serious and threatening despite his immaturity, employing death threats to intimidate opponents while remaining composed. He is very manipulative and cunning, exploiting others with lies and false surrenders. He has successfully deceived simple-minded individuals like Knuckles and even lured clever individuals like Sonic himself into his traps. Furthermore, he can show surprising foresight, like when he discovered Sonic and his friends' plan to give him a fake Chaos Emerald, allowing him to set a trap. He can outsmart enemies when learning from his mistakes, as seen during the War to Take Back the Planet, where he built a backup generator for the Phantom Ruby and left disinformation about that gem to mislead the Resistance.
Eggman has no problem committing senseless destruction for his plans, even contemplating genocide and taking pleasure in murdering his enemies. He is willing to destroy virtually anything that gets in his way if he can gain something from doing so. He was content with conquering what was left of the world after the Deadly Six's actions on the Lost Hex, and was impressed by Infinite's innate desire to cause chaos and recruited him for this reason. Eggman is very vindictive, making last-minute attacks just to avenge previous defeats. He has even attempted suicide attacks, notably trying to personally detonate a missile launched deep into the heart of Station Square after his initial plans were foiled.
Owing to his delusions of grandiosity, Eggman refuses to let others cause destruction outside his direction. This was shown when Chaos betrayed him and flooded Station Square; Eggman had planned this but refused to let Chaos continue aimlessly. He is intolerant of senseless destruction by third parties, especially if it interferes with his plans, as seen when the Black Arms invaded the world. His goal is to rule the world, not destroy it, as world conquest would be rendered impossible with no world to conquer.
Despite his desire for world domination, selfishness, etc. Eggman does have a human side. He does not appreciate senseless destruction and torment from others beyond his control, as seen he was disgusted by his grandfather's willingness to sacrifice his people for research. When he cooperated with Eggman Nega, he was freaked out by Nega's more ruthless methods to deny his enemies victory. At the end of the Space Colony ARK incident, Eggman had an honest conversation with Tails about his admiration for his grandfather, questioning his actions and wondering if he intended to destroy him. Eggman's changes of heart make him hard to figure out, once admitting to being "a complicated guy".
"I don't settle for the world as it is, Doctor. I make it what I want it to be. If I want my enemies' last moments to be carousel music and the smell of petroleum-based cotton candy, that's what I'll make happen."
In the IDW Comics, Dr. Eggman is an evil and megalomaniacal genius who is constantly planning to take over Earth and those beyond his. Showing contempt for how "filthy" and "irregular" the world is, he views himself as obligated to perfect it by ridding it of what he deems as imperfections, including hunger, disease and, above all, free will. Arrogant, raucous and explosive, he believes that he is bringing peace and unity to Earth under his brilliant leadership, but has no qualms about destroying the Earth and all life on it before moving on to another world if needed. He also does not accept the world as it is as a whole. Instead, he wants to transform it to his liking and set up terrifying amusement parks like Eggman Land. His reason for doing so is that he simply likes amusement parks and does not care about their effectiveness; all he wants is to control precisely what his enemies experience in their last moments. Eggman likewise prefers to show up and claim responsibility whenever he is carrying out his villainous deeds and make himself known to his enemies after he comes back from a defeat; as put by Sonic, subtlety is not Eggman's forte.

Eggman has a tendency to often personalize his works by plastering his face or overall image all over his creations, like the Faceship. Other times, he focuses his work around a specific theme. He also uses every situation he can get to personally destroy his enemies and move closer to the realization of his ambitions, as well as evade every instance where he is supposed to take responsibility for his actions and the consequences that follows as a result of his half-baked schemes.
Having little to no honor either, Eggman is likewise depicted as having almost zero compassion and regard for others than himself. Cunning and deceitful, he will use and manipulate his minions and subordinates however he sees fit without a pang of remorse, not caring about ideals such as loyalty. He similarly uses them as tools that he can get rid of at any time after they either fail him or have served their purpose. Noticeably, he tricked Rough and Tumble into turning themselves into Zombots despite the skunk brothers being "perfect minion fodder" for him and that he owed them a deal for helping him back to his senses while he was an amnesiac. He similarly seeks to enslave the whole world with fear. He is also shown to be extremely ungrateful and sadistic, as some of his first victims during the Metal Virus plague were the people of Windmill Village who took care of him while he was suffering from amnesia simply to test his virus and demonstrate "no good deed goes unpunished".
Eggman is an immense intellectual with an IQ of 300, which he genetically inherited from his family of brilliant scientists. He is easily one of the greatest inventors in the world, with virtually unparalleled scientific knowledge and robotic engineering skills. His intellect alone makes him a very formidable opponent.
Eggman has designed a vast array of weapons, machinery, and devices, including armies of robot soldiers known as Badniks, which range from basic Egg Pawns to advanced Egg Gunners, Interceptors and Big Chasers. He has even created some of the most powerful robots in history, such as Metal Sonic—who rivals Sonic the Hedgehog in speed and power—and the E-Series, the last of which, Omega, reputedly being the strongest robot ever built. He also built the Egg Fleet, an armada of flying warships with unmatched power, and space stations like the Death Egg and E.G.G. Station, which are armed with groundbreaking weaponry. He has developed powerful weapons like the Final Egg Blaster and the Chaos Energy Cannon, capable of destroying star clusters, and devices to control minds globally, extract life energy from Earth, or harness the Chaos Emeralds' powers to manipulate time and space. Eggman has additionally displayed knowledge in physiology of various creatures, as demonstrated by transforming the Time Eater into a cyborg, roboticizing living beings, and merging the Phantom Ruby with Infinite. His business acumen is also notable, having significantly profited from his robotic creations and associated facilities.

Eggman's expertise extends to piloting his self-designed vehicles, from the Egg Mobile to various combat mechs. When he raided Prison Island, he used the Eggwalker to overpower G.U.N.'s combat robots, and even Sonic has struggled against Eggman in his mechs. Eggman also excels in driving and racing in racecars like his Egg Booster.
His skills as a machine pilot are only rivaled by Tails, who was able to beat him during two confrontations at one point. Eggman has shown effective coordination with allies in battle, controlling the Egg Salamander with Eggman Nega and the Time Eater with his past self. Although not frequently used, Eggman is a skilled Extreme Gear rider too, adept with various types of Gear, including his E-Rider.

Physically, Eggman is surprisingly strong, quick, and agile for his obesity, although this was the opposite for him in the classic era (see below). Classified as a Power Type, he can shatter a large and thick wall of ice and punch away cars and trains using only his bare hands. He is also quite durable, being able to survive a fall down to Earth from the Lost Hex and emerge from it with little harm. Furthermore, he is able to sprint at immense speeds, comparable to even Sonic himself for a few seconds.
His powers only grow greater in his dreams, considering that, as shown during the reverie incident, when he takes over the reverie and/or probably with excessive amounts of nightmare fuel, he can become Nightmare Eggman. In this form, he can duplicate, teleport, fire lasers, create shockwaves, and have a mind that coexists within multiple bodies, making him a great threat as his chances off fully taking over the reverie and thus making his twisted dreams come true grow far too extreme.
In the IDW Comics, Eggman is a brilliant scientist and inventor with seemingly limitless mastery over technology. His remarkable skills as an engineer and programmer are best evidenced by the armies of robots, machines and mechs he has created for his numerous schemes. He is also an incredibly skilled pilot: able to manipulate many different kinds of his own mechs, robots and vehicles in difficult battles with Sonic and even his own mechs. He also has proficiency in using handguns.
According to Rouge, Eggman is quite physically capable despite the shape of his physique. Even Mimic, a trained mercenary, shrunk away in fear when Eggman approached him. Notably, he has enough strength to swing someone at Dr. Starline's size and weight around effortlessly and knock him out cold by slamming him into the ground. He is also quite durable, having emerged from his massive destroyed mechs without suffering any injuries himself. He also has sharp reflexes, being able to dodge a surprise attack from one of Starline's Multi-Tool Heel Spurs.
Eggman has wielded a number of guns and weapons on several occasions, though he was never shown to use most of them. Early into the Lost Hex incident, he used a laser pistol that could fire shots powerful enough to tear a hole in the Tornado's wings.
Despite how simple they appear, Eggman's glasses are in fact highly advanced technological eyewear. With them, he could track the Chaos Emeralds' locations in the corners of the distorted world after they were flung there by Solaris.
Like his glasses, Eggman's jacket is equipped with several gadgets that can be activated with the press of some hidden buttons. During the first EX World Grand Prix for example, he could activate a holographic screen from his left arm. Also, with a push of the lower-right gold button on his jacket, he can extend the wings of a jetpack on his back and initiate flight.

When racing with Extreme Gear, Eggman is known to use gadgets such as comically large party poppers and mechanical boxing gloves to attack his opponents.
During the Chaos incident, the doctor briefly used a small, unseen object that allowed him to teleport himself and other desired subjects somewhere else. However, the properties of this invention remain unconfirmed.
In the IDW Comics, Eggman has been known to wield weapons on different occasions, including a small laser pistol that can fire large laser beams which can obliterate anything in their path. His goggles are also equipped with isolation lenses that protects him from the effects used to hypnotize people.

Despite his amazing intellect, Eggman's impatience and arrogance tend to make him act hastily and overlook crucial details when he tries to concentrate on a greater goal. Such was the case during the Dark Gaia incident when he awoke Dark Gaia too early in order to harvest his power for the construction of Eggmanland without even considering the repercussions of awakening Dark Gaia before he had reached full maturity. His childish behavior can be considered a weak spot of his as well. He also tends to let his guard down too easily causing Sonic to attack the weak spots in his mechs. In the classic era, unlike now, he was a bit of a weakling and was alot more clumsy and cowardly than he is today.
Far from being subtle, Eggman's overconfidence sometimes makes him boast a lot, making him accidentally reveal details about his plans and give hints to his enemies as to how to defeat him, all of this without him even realizing what he is saying. He is also noted to not be very good at keeping things hidden.
Eggman is after a powerful gem called the Paradox Prism. He intends to use it to create a world in his image. However, Sonic and friends won't let that happen. After a mistake by the hedgehog, Eggman is caught up in the Prism's incident, which displaces him across different dimensions from the Shatterverse. His alternate counterparts in New Yoke City are the Chaos Council, which consists of Mr. Dr. Eggman, Dr. Babble, Dr. Deep, Dr. Don't and Dr. Done-It.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures, Dr. Ivo Robotnik is a brilliant human scientist, portrayed by Jim Carrey. Growing up as an orphan and bullied in his childhood, he came to resent the idea of family and humanity in general as a result. After beginning his career, he would work closely with the United States government, known infamously for his knowledge with robotics and insane behaviors.
Eventually, Dr. Ivo Robotnik was tasked with investigating the cause of a power outage in Green Hills. He soon met the cause, a young blue alien named Sonic the Hedgehog who could move at superhuman speeds. From there, he sought out to capture this creature in order to harness his unlimited power for his own means. However, in the end, he was defeated by the hedgehog and banished to the Mushroom Planet.
Months later, Dr. Ivo Robotnik managed to return to Earth with the help of Knuckles the Echidna, an alien echidna who was in search of Sonic and the Master Emerald. The doctor aided the echidna in his search for the gemstone, only to claim it for himself and later terrorize Green Hills. However, he was defeated through the combined efforts of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing, Dr. Eggman is an evil megalomaniacal scientist, whose history is almost identical to his game counterpart's, up until after the events of Sonic Forces. After the Eggman War, the doctor went missing, and his Badnik Horde was left without a leader. Eggman himself ended up in Windmill Village, where he lost his memory and took up a job as a local inventor known as "Mr. Tinker", eagerly helping residents and the community. He was eventually found by the Chaotix, Sonic, Shadow and Rouge, who decided to leave him be, considering him harmless and benevolent now. Soon after, however, the scientist was kidnapped by Rough and Tumble on the orders of Dr. Starline, a long-time admirer of his work. Brought to the Final Egg, Eggman had his memory restored by Metal Sonic. He then began working on the Metal Virus, which he began spreading around the world with his Faceship. At one point, however, Starline let the Deadly Six aboard his ship, who took control of Eggman's Zombots, forcing the doctor to flee and cooperate with his enemies to stop the Zeti's plan to destroy the world with the Zombots. The villain also got rid of Starline. After the Zombot apocalypse ended, Eggman tried to take advantage of Sonic's absence to dispose of his enemies, but the hedgehog soon returned in time to foil his plan. A little while later, the scientist began working on new Badnik types, called Quasi-Badniks. He was also revealed to be the creator of a benevolent robot called Belle while he had amnesia.

The character has been well-received, going on to become one of the most well-known villains in gaming. GameDaily ranked him number one on their list of "Top 25 Evil Masterminds of All Time" article, stating "Out of all the evil masterminds in video games, none are more despicable, more cunning, or more menacing". IGN listed him at number nine above Mario-series villain Bowser in their "Top 10 Most Memorable Villains" article, calling him "PETA's videogame public enemy number one", and has also commented that his character is a "pretty clever riff on Teddy Roosevelt" that has added to the attraction of the series. He was featured at number three in a "Reader's Choice" edition of GameSpot's "Top Ten Video Game Villains" article, which noted a massive complaint from fans at his exclusion from the original list. Eggman was also named the 15th most diabolical video game villain of all time by PC World. Game Informer notes that in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, "Eggman's villain ego shows some amusing tarnish after constant defeat at the hands of Sonic."Boy's Life magazine listed "Dr. Eggman / Dr. Robotnik" as number one on their top five video game villains, saying "Two names, one big problem for Sonic the Hedgehog". In the "Top 100 Videogame Villains" of IGN, in 2010, Dr. Eggman was ranked at 11th place.
In an official 2006 Sonic character poll by Sonic Team, Dr. Eggman was voted the seventh most popular character in the series.
A potential macrocycle inhibitor of the Sonic hedgehog gene, discovered by a Harvard University research team, was named "Robotnikinin" after Dr. Robotnik. The researchers felt that since Sonic hedgehog was named after the Sega video game character, they should "adhere to the convention" in naming the inhibiting compound after the character's arch-enemy.

I'm not sure what happened, but I know what I saw: a love that transcended time. I believe in that power. When this is over, I want to share that love with the world. Even though... it may take us far apart.
Amy Rose (エミー・ローズ Emī Rōzu) is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. She is an anthropomorphic pink hedgehog with a crush on Sonic the Hedgehog. Since meeting Sonic on Little Planet, Amy has declared herself his girlfriend and has attempted to win his heart by any means in many of their adventures. She wields the Piko Piko Hammer, which she uses with skills second to none and never leaves home without.

Rosey the rascal/Amy
Amy is a cheerful, though slightly erratic girl, with a positive attitude and nature and boundless energy. However, she has a fiery temper and her infatuation with Sonic makes her short-sighted and a bit obsessive about him, having followed him everywhere since meeting him. Nevertheless, she has a pure heart and will not let anything stop her.

Amy
Amy Rose was created in response to a request from the character division of Sega's licensing business, who wanted a character that could be the "Minnie" to Sonic's "Mickey". However, it was felt at the time that it would "go against Sonic's personality" for him to be locked into a standard cartoon relationship like Mickey and Minnie. Instead, it was decided that a one-way relationship, where Amy's affection for Sonic is unrequited, would be more interesting.
Naoto Ohshima created the original character design, which was then finalized by Kazuyuki Hoshino. According to Hoshino, there were many voices involved in the creation of the character, including staff members from various departments and editors of the then-upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog manga series. Amy's hairband and trainers reflect Naoto Ohshima's taste, while her mannerisms reflect the kind of traits Kazuyuki Hoshino looked for in women at the time.

Although Amy was originally created as a character for the video game series, she first appeared in the Sonic the Hedgehog manga and The Adventures of SONIC the Hedgehog series, both published by Shogakukan. The series began in the April 1992 issues of Shogaku Ninensei, Shogaku Sannensei, Shogaku Yonensei, Shogaku Gonensei and Shogaku Rokunensei. The manga series would later feature in Shogaku Ichinensei and Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic Special.
The manga series had various writers and artists, working from a story concept created by Kenji Terada, who wrote the illustrated stories in Shogaku Yonensei. In these series, Amy is the girlfriend of Nicky, a nerdy young male hedgehog with the power to transform into the superhero, Sonic the Hedgehog. Amy is also the target of the bully Anton Veruca. In the stories illustrated by Sango Morimoto, she had a very different design - most notably, she was brown rather than pink and her spines were styled into a ponytail. She is simply known as Amy throughout most of the series, with her surname "Rose" not being mentioned until later issues of Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic Special, released after the Sonic the Hedgehog CD video game.
Amy Rose made her video game debut in 1993's Sonic the Hedgehog CD, as a non-playable character. In this game, she is an 8-year-old hedgehog girl kidnapped by the new antagonist, Metal Sonic. In the Japanese release, she was primarily known by her nickname Rosy the Rascal, although it is still stated that her real name is "Amy Rose". In the U.S. manual of Sonic CD, Amy is referred to as Princess Sally, likely to connect her with a character who appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog TV series released in 1993. She later appeared as a playable character in several ensemble spin-off games such as Sonic Drift, Sonic Drift 2, Sonic the Fighters and Sonic R. She rarely appeared in contemporaneous TV series and books, although she was included in many of the comic series at the time.
When Sonic Team reunited and started work on their three-dimensional follow-up to the classic Sonic games, Sonic Adventure, it was decided they would give her a starring role in the game. Like the rest of the returning cast, Amy was given an updated design by Yuji Uekawa. While Sonic, Tails and Knuckles all received minor design changes, Amy's clothing and hairstyle were completely revamped. She also had her entire figure redesigned to make her appear older. In addition to her redesign, her official age was changed from 8 to 12.
Amy had a few voice samples in Sonic CD provided by Masafumi Ogata. Taeko Kawata voiced Amy in Sonic Adventure. Kawata would voice the character continually in the games since, with the exception of Sonic Shuffle, due to being on maternity leave. In the game, Amy was voiced by Emi Motoi.
The first English-language voice actor for Amy in the video games was Jennifer Douillard, her only voice acting role. Douillard continued to portray her for the next few years, with her final game being Sonic Advance 3 prior to her retirement from voice acting. Lisa Ortiz, who had voiced the character in Sonic X, replaced Douillard in 2005's Shadow the Hedgehog. Ortiz was later replaced by Cindy Robinson from 2010's Sonic Free Riders onwards. Following Roger Craig Smith's statement in January 2021 that he would no longer voice Sonic, Robinson stated that she would no longer voice Amy on February of the same year, but she reversed course later in December. In Sonic Prime, Amy was voiced by Canadian Shannon Chan-Kent, who previously potrayed the Roadhouse Waitress in the film Sonic the Hedgehog.
Amy is a pink-furred anthropomorphic hedgehog with bright green eyes and peach skin covering her muzzle, inner ears and arms. She has a small black nose, triangular ears on top of her head, and no back spines. She also has two medium-length eyelashes on each side of her eyes. Additionally, her five short head quills point downwards, somewhat resembling a bob cut. She also has three spikes for bangs on her head and a short pointy tail.
For attire, Amy wears a red sleeveless and backless dress with two white trims and a white petticoat underneath, tall red boots with a white stripe down the center, white cuffs and gray soles with chunky heels, a red hairband, and white wrist-length gloves with gold bracelets for cuffs.

When she was younger, Amy's five head quills were longer and pointed backward, and she had a single back spine, her eyes were black. For attire, Amy wears an orange-ruffled or pleated skirt, a green puffy-sleeved shirt with a white collar and cuff bands, white and lavender sneakers with orange shoelaces, white wrist-length gloves, and a red ribbon headband.
At one point in her young lifestyle, she wears a red dress, gold bracelets and red boots similar to what she would normally be wearing.
Not much is known about Amy's early life, except that she had always loved fortunes and other mystical things, and that she practiced some of it using her own tarot cards. Using her cards, In Sonic the Hedgehog CD, Amy predicted that she would have a "destined" encounter with Sonic the Hedgehog on the small satellite known as Little Planet. Amy traveled to the Little Planet and saw Sonic there, fulfilling her prediction. She instantly fell in love with him and hugged him, but Sonic didn't respond to her advances. At Collision Chaos however, Amy was kidnapped by Metal Sonic, Dr. Eggman's latest creation. Fortunately, after Amy got tied up in Stardust Speedway, she was saved by Sonic after he defeated Metal Sonic. After Sonic then defeated Eggman and the doctor's base began to fall apart around them, Amy was safely carried back to Earth by Sonic, where she only caught a glimpse of him running away and setting Little Planet free.
Amy would join Sonic in his friends in various competitions across earth. In Sonic R, Amy saw from advertisement that the World Grand Prix, a racing competition to determine the fastest in the world was about to take place. Learning that Sonic would participate, Amy signed up in hopes of meeting Sonic. Amy joined Sonic and Tails on an adventure to defeat Doctor Eggman and Fang the Hunter on the Northstar Islands. Amy ends up befriending and helping Trip the Sungazer when the latter is trapped in Lagoon City Zone, resulting in Trip gaining confidence and disobeying Fang later on. Along with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Trip, Amy manages to save the day.

In Sonic Adventure, Amy had returned to her home in Station Square where she lived a normal, albeit boring life. While out shopping, Amy saw the Egg Carrier fly over the city, then was knocked over by a Flicky with a pendant, which she named "Birdie". Soon after, E-100 ZERO appeared and chased after Amy and Birdie, but they escaped the robot by hiding until it left. Realizing that Dr. Eggman was after Birdie, Amy promised to protect him. Amy asked Sonic to be the bird's body guard, but he refused. Amy followed Birdie until ZERO showed up again. Amy and Birdie tried escaping ZERO, but it soon caught them and took them to the Egg Carrier where they were locked up. There, Gamma came to collect Birdie, but Amy refused to hand him over and instead pleaded him to release them. When Gamma could not understand Amy's devotion to Birdie, Amy pitied his lack of emotions, but in a surprisingly twist, Gamma chose to free them. Seeing that he was a good robot, Amy gave Gamma her friendship and fled with Birdie.

As they escaped, Amy ran into Eggman, just as Sonic and Tails came to her rescue. Gamma was then sent to eliminate them, but Amy got Sonic to let Gamma go before he destroyed him. As the Egg Carrier began to lose altitude, Amy was taken back to the ground by Tails, though not before advising Gamma to stop following Dr. Eggman. Back in Station Square, Amy saw Birdie's siblings in his pendant and decided to help find his siblings which were in Dr. Eggman's captivity. Amy found Birdie's family in the Egg Carrier's remains, only for ZERO to suddenly show up and hurt Birdie. Enraged, Amy finally destroyed ZERO and tended to Birdie, who recovered and flew off with his family. As Amy left the Egg Carrier, she resolved to make Sonic respect her. Later, Amy returned to Station Square, which had been destroyed by Perfect Chaos. After the monster released the seven drained Chaos Emeralds, Amy found one and brought it to Sonic, while her other friends brought the other six. Amy watched Sonic transform into Super Sonic and defeat Perfect Chaos.
In Sonic Adventure 2, Amy went to Prison Island to rescue Sonic, but ran into Shadow the Hedgehog and mistook him for Sonic. After realizing her mistake, she was cornered by Dr. Eggman, but was saved by Tails whom she joined up with to free Sonic. After freeing Sonic and escaping the island before it blew up, she went to Central City with Sonic and Tails. There they saw a broadcast from Eggman, where he blew up half the Moon with the Eclipse Cannon and demanded world control within 24 hours. Now a target of G.U.N., the police arrived to arrest the trio. Amy and Tails hid while Sonic distracted the cops. Later, Amy and Tails found Knuckles whom Amy literally dragged into their adventure. After locating Eggman, Amy and her friends found Eggman's base. Inside the base though, they were ambushed by Dr. Eggman and his Egg Golem. While Sonic took care of the Egg Golem, Amy and the others got themselves a space shuttle.
Once they reached the ARK, Amy was left behind by Sonic and Tails. No sooner, Amy was taken hostage by Dr. Eggman who demanded Tails' Chaos Emerald in exchange for Amy's life. Sonic arrived to fulfill the barging, but Eggman knew they were trying to give him a fake Emerald so he trapped Sonic in a capsule set to explode. As Amy received Sonic's goodbyes, his capsule was shot into space and exploded, leaving Amy grief-stricken. After Tails beat Eggman (though they still lost their Chaos Emerald), Amy and Tails heard Sonic, who survived the explosion, over the radio and they watched him destroy the Eclipse Cannon. As Amy reunited with everyone though, it was revealed the Space Colony ARK was now on a collision course with earth.

After Eggman and the others made a plan to stop the ARK, Amy was left behind. She then came across Shadow and begged for his help. Through telling him that humanity was worth saving and deserved to be happy, Amy made Shadow remember that Maria wished for him to bring hope to humanity and got him to join them. During the fight with the Finalhazard, Amy provided advise to Super Sonic and Super Shadow over transmissions as they beat the Finalhazard. After Super Sonic and Super Shadow brought the Space Colony ARK back into orbit, Amy found Sonic returning alone, he told them Shadow had seemingly died in the fight. As Amy tried to talk with Sonic about Shadow's death, the group all decided to head back home to earth.

In Sonic Heroes, Amy had been without contact with Sonic for a month. Making little progress on his trail, she almost gave up when she saw Sonic's picture in a newspaper. Excited, Amy went to the publishers to ask where the picture was taken when she met Big, Cream, and Cheese, who revealed they looked for Froggy and Chocola respectively, both of whom appeared with Sonic in the newspaper picture. The new Team Rose went on an adventure to find Chocola and Froggy, running into Eggman, Team Sonic, Team Chaotix, and many fakes along the way. Eventually, Team Rose traveled to the Egg Fleet to find Eggman's main fleet, the Final Fortress. Once they got there, Team Rose defeated Eggman in his Egg Emperor in a final confrontation.
Though their opponent turned out to be another fake, they found Chocola and Froggy in its remains and had a happy reunion. Meanwhile, Cream spotted Sonic, prompting Amy to chase after him. Not long after, all the teams united to see Neo Metal Sonic reveal himself. As it turned out, Neo Metal Sonic, who had been impersonating Eggman, was the true kidnapper of Froggy and Chocola. Amy and her team then volunteered to stall Metal Madness with the others while Team Sonic prepared the Chaos Emeralds. Despite Team Rose's efforts, Metal Madness transformed into Metal Overlord, but a super transformed Team Sonic then arrived and defeated him while Amy watched on. After the battle, Amy resumed her chase after Sonic, saying goodbye to her team while doing so.
In Sonic Forces, after Dr. Eggman had successfully defeated Sonic (and seemingly killed him) and conquered over 99% of the world, Amy and her allies formed a ragtag resistance group to counter the Eggman Empire's reign. While Knuckles led the Resistance, Amy would handle the communication work. As six months went by without the Resistance making much progress, Amy, still affected by Sonic's absence, would dream that he was still with them.
After Knuckles introduced the Avatar to Amy and the others, Amy learned from Knuckles that Sonic was still alive, much to her joy, although he was currently imprisoned onboard the newly-rebuilt Death Egg, much to her deep concern. With the Resistance planning to save Sonic, Amy joined a squad on a mission to the Spaceport where they procured an Egg Fleet shuttle to head to the Death Egg in. However, Amy's team had to speed up their rescue when they learned from Rouge that Eggman learned they were coming and he was going to execute Sonic. Fortunately, the Resistance found and rescued Sonic, whom Amy immediately expressed her joy that he was safe and with them again, and brought him back to earth.

With Sonic back and a part of the Resistance, Amy guided him and the Avatar when they attacked the Arsenal Pyramid. Afterward, Amy detected a battle between Silver and Infinite in Mystic Jungle and sent Sonic to help Silver. Discovering later that the Eggman Army had broken into the City, Amy had the Resistance mount an evacuation. Amy herself kept the HQ updated on the battle in the City, which ended with the Eggman Army retreating. Later on, Amy followed and guided the Avatar when they went to Aqua Road to investigate two lifeforms that had been detected there, which turned out to be Tails and Classic Sonic. As the two were brought into the Resistance, Amy learned from Tails that Eggman had a plan that would wipe them all out in three days. Soon after, Amy kept Sonic posted on the whereabouts of Shadow, who had seemingly joined the Eggman Empire. In the aftermath, Amy learned from the real Shadow, who joined the Resistance, that the familiar faces in Eggman's army were Phantom Copies created by Infinite.

During Operation Big Wave, Amy kept the Resistance posted on the losses they suffered as a result of Infinite's Phantom Ruby prototype's power. After the Resistance withdrew, they began looking for a way to stop the Phantom Rubies. In the meantime, Amy discovered a Metal Sonic Phantom Copy in the City, which she guided Sonic and the Avatar to. The Resistance learned they could stop the Phantom Rubies by destroying their power source onboard the Death Egg. Amy then benched Knuckles, who wanted to be a part of the plan to destroy the Death Egg, since the Resistance needed his leadership. The Avatar later attacked Guardian Rock to distract the Eggman Army as a part of their plan. Amy provided the Resistance army with analyses and updates on the Death Crab that roamed the area. As planned, the Avatar's distraction allowed the Resistance to destroy the Death Egg, whose destruction Amy observed from the HQ.
Believing the Phantom Rubies to be out of commission, the battle-weary Amy joined another attack on Metropolis, their objective being to capture Eggman and end the war. During the battle, Amy kept Sonic posted on his search for the doctor. Although Eggman evaded capture, the Resistance managed to capture Metropolis, something which Amy told Sonic when victory seemed imminent. They also learned, much to their horror, that Eggman had a backup power supply for his Phantom Rubies underneath the Eggman Empire Fortress.
Having less than an hour left before Eggman began his endgame, Amy and the Resistance attacked the Eggman Empire Tower, where they faced Eggman's Phantom Copy army and Infinite. It was then that Infinite executed Eggman's endgame; using his Phantom Ruby, he created a virtual sun to drop on the Resistance. Thanks to the Avatar however, who was in possession of a Phantom Ruby prototype, the sun was vanquished, allowing Amy and her friends to continue the fight. After Sonic and the Avatar defeated Infinite, Amy follow their and Classic Sonic's subsequent efforts that led to the destruction of the Phantom Rubies' reactor. Eggman, however, had foreseen this and his used his original Phantom Ruby in conjunction with his Death Egg Robot to create thousands of Phantom Copies to overwhelm Amy and the rest with. Fortunately, Sonic, the Avatar and Classic Sonic beat Eggman's robot which vanquished his army.

In the aftermath, Amy bid farewell to Classic Sonic, whose return to his the past was imminent with the Phantom Ruby now gone. Amy then followed Sonic's example and set out to clean up the mess Eggman had left the world in. A while later, during a last meeting in the Resistance HQ, Amy saw Knuckles disband the Resistance as the Avatar announced their departure.

In Team Sonic Racing, Amy and her team were having a picnic when Team Sonic showed up, having been invited to this location. Just as Amy invited Sonic to join them, a stranger appeared, a Tanuki calling himself Dodon Pa. Introducing himself as the one who sent the invitation, Dodon Pa told Team Sonic that they would be racing as a team in the most advanced cars he could create in a Grand Prix that would test their limits. Amy did not trust Dodon Pa, however, due to his vagueness and his Eggman-esque way of speaking. Regardless, Sonic convinced his team to participate in Dodon Pa's Grand Prix. As Team Sonic set off to join Dodon Pa on the way to Planet Wisp where the first race was, Amy and Omochao joined Big when he was allowed to come along, making Team Rose official competitors in Dodon Pa's Grand Prix.

For the races, Amy received the Pink Cabriolet to race in. Even as the races began though, Amy could not help but notice similarities between Eggman and Dodon Pa. As the races progressed, Amy would talk with her friends about how this whole Grand Prix setup seemed out of place. Although her friends agreed with her, Amy kept racing. Eventually, she took time off to talk with Omochao about Dodon Pa's amazing cars and tech. However, she remained vary of Dodon Pa, especially after he took his racing challenges up a notch. Amy tried asking Dodon Pa about his motives for making them race afterwards, but all she got was a vague, condescending reply. Not long after, Team Vector joined the Grand Prix. Upon talking with Vector, Amy admitted that she did not trust Dodon Pa at all. As Dodon Pa took his challenges up another notch, Amy objected to this, as someone could eventually get hurt. However, her protest fell on deaf ears. Seeing that Dodon Pa had managed to sent a message to another dimension to invite Blaze to the Grand Prix, Amy realized that their enigmatic host was very powerful and told Blaze to be careful around him. Not long after, Dr. Eggman and his team joined the competition, along with Team Dark.
While waiting for the next race, Amy and her team were radioed by Tails, who instructed them to join Team Sonic and Team Dark on the racetrack in order to help them take down Dr. Eggman, who had intruded on the two teams' race in order to compete against them on his own as a "special guest" (which Dodon Pa permitted despite knowing it was a lie). Amy herself gladly complied since it meant her team could get some extra practice. With the aid of her teammates and the Skim Boost technique, Amy was able to get into position. She then joined forces with the rest of Team Rose, Knuckles, Tails, Rouge, Omega and Team Vector. Together, they surrounded Eggman on the racetrack before delivering a massive beatdown on the doctor with their combined Wisp power-ups. However, Dodon Pa was too busy watching Eggman's beating to see who crossed the finish line first.
Later, after learning that Dodon Pa and Eggman was seemingly working together and that they were talking about some kind of engine, Amy opted that they should stop them. However, since they knew nothing about whatever plan they were cooking up, all the heroes could do for now was keep racing. Amy soon after tried to convince Big that Dodon Pa was not to be trusted, but failed. Big noted that Dodon Pa was good since the Wisps were working with him, making Amy realize that Dodon Pa might not be evil after all. Later, after Amy and Sonic talked about how crummy a racer Eggman was, the doctor had Metal Sonic join his team, much to Amy's worry. Amy would later talk strategy with her team. As the races progressed, Amy ignored Big's attempts to tell her about a big guy hiding in the shadows in favor of focusing on the races.
After another race, Amy saw the Chao spectators go amok after spotting someone, who turned out to be Zavok, whom Eggman quickly recruited for his team. Not long after, the races began to take their toll on Amy, but circumstances forced her to keep competing. Not long after though, Vector revealed to Amy and everyone else that Dodon Pa was actually the king of a planet and the President of Donpa Motors. Dodon Pa soon after revealed that he was using the Grand Prix to gather information for his corporation's Ultimate Energy Engine, which Dodon Pa wanted to use for philanthropic purposes. Realizing they had misjudge Dodon Pa, Amy apologized to him. Afterward, Amy got annoyed by Sonic's competitive spirit as he tried to resume the competition.
Soon after, the heroes learned from Big that Eggman had kidnapped Dodon Pa and brought him to the Final Fortress. Wanting to rescue Dodon Pa, Amy and co. went to the Final Fortress. There, Eggman had them compete in a number of races with Team Eggman and his army of Eggpawns in exchange for Dodon Pa, not knowing Eggman was using them to gather the Ultimate Team Energy needed to finish the Ultimate Energy Engine. Once the engine was complete, Eggman stole it from Dodon Pa and incorporated it into his Death Egg. Amy and her crew subsequently faced the Death Egg, and beat it in a race. However, the Death Egg soon after went crazy and drove into the Final Fortress's core. As the Final Fortress crashed, Amy and her companions were forced to abandon their cars and evacuate the airship while Team Sonic saved Dodon Pa. Down on the ground, Amy was reunited with Team Sonic when they arrived with Dodon Pa. Just as the Grand Prix seemed over since the cars had been destroyed when the Final Fortress crashed, Dodon Pa decided to give everyone new cars, thus allowing Amy and her friends to race once more.
In Sonic Frontiers, Amy joined Tails and Sonic on their latest adventure: investigating Chaos Emerald signals from the Starfall Islands. However, she would soon be separated from her friends after the malfunctioning Tornado was sucked into a wormhole to Cyber Space. Amy ended up stuck between dimensions and trapped inside a cyber cage on Kronos Island, where she would then be rescued by Sonic, who managed to escape Cyber Space unlike the others.
Upon being freed, Amy and Sonic explored the island and picked up some clues regarding the Ancients' past. Amy in particular found a Koco who was looking for its missing lover, reuniting the couple with help from Sonic. As a result of their final desires being fulfilled, the Kocos went inert, much to Amy's dismay. Nonetheless, the endeavor inspired her to make the most of the time she had left and spend it with those she loved. After helping him solve a puzzle, unlocking a path behind a waterfall, Amy later saw Sonic off to defeat Giganto and rescue the others.
After Sonic shut down the six towers of Rhea Island, Amy and the others regained their physical forms, but this came at the cost of Sonic himself, who had absorbed too much cyber energy to function. Together with Tails and Knuckles, she sacrificed her body once more so Sonic could finish his quest. Following the defeat of The End and Sage's sacrifice, everyone regrouped and got ready to go home, with Amy in particular hoping to get in a road trip with Cream and Sticks.
In an alternate version of Sonic Frontiers' ending, Amy (still partially in cyberspace) helps Sonic find the Chaos Emeralds along with Tails and Knuckles. She talks to the Elder Koco and Hermit Koco to gain find where the emeralds are and learn more about what happened to them. Amy in game is able to triple jump, hover with her Fortune Cards, attack with her Piko Piko Hammer, and homing attack multiple enemies. After helping give Sonic the Emeralds, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles all show up at the end to defend both Sage and Doctor Eggman, thus helping Sonic finally defeat The End. After defeating The End, the game ends the same way the original story did with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy all restored to their physical forms and flying home in the Tornado.

Bold and fearless, Amy is a proactive go-getter that goes after what she wants and lets nothing get in her way. As early as the first Little Planet incident, Amy was shown to possess a proactive streak. When she had just her tarot cards to go by back then, she made her way to Little Planet when her tarot cards told her that she had a "destined encounter" on the small satellite. Likewise, she is an intuitive activist, which usually means she acts before thinking things through.
Amy is described as an "energetic tomboy", though by the time of the Chaos incident, she is shown to have traditional feminine interests nonetheless, such as shopping and fashion. Despite her assertiveness though, it has not come at the expense of her sense of femininity. Amy also hates boredom and loves thrills and excitement; during her time in Station Square, she found her mundane city life dull and longed for the exhilaration of being a part of Sonic's adventures.

Amy is very open and expressive about her feelings and emotions, always speaking her mind and never letting her feelings get bottled up inside. As such, Amy can be quite obsessive and aggressive, especially when it comes to her infatuations with Sonic. When angered, she has a habit of pulling out and threatening others with her Piko Piko Hammer, especially when anyone crosses her or hurts people she cares about. Amy has been shown as well to have no reservations about expressing more extreme emotions, be it either crying when overcome with sadness or not holding back in expressing her over-the-top enthusiasm. As a result, Amy can come off as overbearing and very pushy. Possessing a powerful personality, her assertiveness and temper make her something of a troublemaker. All the same, she has shown to not tolerate people hurting those she cares about and will retaliate with anger when witnessing such acts. As such, her enthusiasm tends to get her as much in trouble as it helps out others.
Originally, Amy was barely able to take care of herself when in dangerous situations. As such, she was ultimately a damsel-in-distress figure who needed Sonic to save her. Recognizing this, she eventually started chasing after her hero, and gradually "grew" into a tenacious and more proactive girl, who is as active and strong as Sonic.
During the Emerl incident, she developed a fascination with "boxercise" playing to both elements of her personality. The exercise helped her lose weight to maintain her girlish figure, and the boxing helped her train when she is forced to fight. She also had shown a very powerful and aggressive attitude, willing to fight whenever necessary to help and protect those she cares about.
Amy has a kind heart and never gives up, having a strong belief in fate and destiny. Her faith in her tarot cards led her to the fated encounter that brought Sonic into her life, and, during the Emerl incident, she showed such faith in her tarot cards that she insisted that Sonic would be at Tails' place on their reading outcome alone. Amy regularly talks about the power of love and true love and strongly believes in the merit of dreams and wishes.
Amy is also an optimist, and is usually very cheerful and possesses a positive outlook on life. She is always full of hope and is always cheering on for the good side of things. Notably, she rarely seems to find anything hopeless, as shown during the Chaos incident, where she was determined to help Birdie, who had lost his family. This cheerfulness likewise makes her the driving force of her team.
Amy has a very strong sense of empathy and a surprising capability for caring. She is very encouraging and is more than willing to reach out to all kinds of people. During the Chaos incident, Amy showed she was more than willing to protect Birdie, and helped it reunite with its siblings out of the goodness of her heart. She similarly defended E-102 Gamma from Sonic when the latter tried to destroy him after motivating Gamma to rebel against Eggman. Similarly, during the Space Colony ARK incident, she reached out to Shadow, pleading to him by telling him that as selfish as humanity was, they deserved a chance to be happy. Likewise, during the Neo Metal Sonic incident, Amy raised Cream and Big's spirits whenever they lost hope about finding their friends. When it comes down to it, Amy is a likable person and has rarely met anyone she did not befriend.
She is also quite impulsive, as her feelings for Sonic have led her to do things without thinking about them.
In the IDW Comics, Amy is willing to recognize villains for the scum they are, she also willing to see the good in others, including her foes. Most notably, she thinks Bark is not bad; he is just hanging out with the wrong people.
The time Amy spent in the Resistance has caused her to mature to a great degree, having demonstrated both leadership and logistical skills that has relieved Knuckles in virtually all organizational matters. While still obsessed with Sonic and her crush on him, she has become more level-headed about it, being able to shake herself out of her moments of infatuation with him. She has also displayed a strong sense of responsibility and duty and a great willingness to help others, which is exemplified in her devotion to the Resistance's cause and her own role in maintaining the organization's stability, as well as when she turned down an offer to spend time with Sonic in favor of returning to her duties in the Resistance, believing that no one else would be fill out her position and that the world needed to be rebuilt.
Despite all her merits and achievements, Amy felt at one point that she was unfit to be a leader. This started to take its toll on her, especially during the Zombot apocalypse, where she repeatedly succumbed to exhaustion and could not keep up with all the events. All of this cumulative stress made her decide to leave the Restoration.

Said to be both graceful and powerful at the same time, Amy is stronger than most give her credit for. Notably, it has been said that her activity can put even men to shame. With her tools and skills by her side, she is a formidable foe and a valuable member of Sonic's team who can go up against powerful robots, like E-100 ZERO, on her own. Thanks to her occasional training, she is growing progressively stronger as well. However, she is still no match for highly trained individuals like Rouge.

While not superhuman, Amy possesses above-average physical attributes. She has high physical strength, enough to let her carry her extra heavy Piko Piko Hammer around with no effort, send opponents flying with a single swing of her Piko Piko Hammer, or propel herself upward by hammering into the ground. Amy also has excellent running skills that stem from all the time she has spent chasing after Sonic. While her top speed is not clear, she is at least able to move at super speeds, being fast enough to create after-images of herself, scale vertical surfaces and ceilings, and keep up with Sonic's mundane running speed. However, she has admitted that she is not as fast as Sonic. Amy likewise has impressive durability, being able to go through atmospheric re-entry and then land on the ground unharmed. She also has sharp reflexes, agility, and acrobatic skills, enough to let her do special tricks and movements while in mid-air, pull off various graceful maneuvers with her Piko Piko Hammer at high speed without it affecting her movements, and grind along rails with ease. In addition, thanks to her indomitable spirit and persistence, Amy has impressive stamina, being able to push herself to the absolute limit of her endurance before succumbing to exhaustion.
Amy's feelings for Sonic have proven to be a force of their own. By harnessing them, Amy can pull off surprising feats. The shockwaves she is able to perform with her Piko Piko Hammer from time to time are achieved by focusing her passion into her hammer. She can even use thoughts about Sonic to heal herself. Her drive to catch Sonic is also so strong that it can influence her skills, allowing her to make high jumps and even double jumps.
Amy is also able to perform the Spin Attack, a technique where she curls into a concussive ball or cutting disk and directs herself at her targets. With it, Amy can shred or burrow through just about any substance given enough speed. Adept in its usage, Amy can utilize several variants of the Spin Attack for both ground- and aerial maneuvers, including the Spin Dash, Spin Jump, and Homing Attack.
Even without her Spin Attack, Amy is a tough fighter, though her combat skills are not as developed as those of Sonic, Knuckles, or Tails. Despite this, Amy can be a fierce opponent in a confrontation, especially when her temper flares up. She also has undergone limited hand-to-hand combat training, having learned kickboxing and boxercise while on a diet. While these martial arts are more reminiscing of exercises, Amy knows how to defend herself using those exercises, allowing her to use quick jabs, straight punches and uppercuts in combat. However, Amy's primary fighting style focuses heavily on her Piko Piko Hammer. In battle, she uses her hammer's size and durability to her advantage, using it either to crush foes with devastating force by bringing it down on them, sending opponents flying into the air with an upward swing or extend her attack range. For more offensive moves, Amy can twirl around with her Piko Piko Hammer, thereby turning herself into a spinning top that mows down everything caught in her attack radius, though such maneuvers can leave her dizzy.

Amy also possesses excellent dowsing skills, especially when it comes to tracking down Sonic, as she has been able to locate Sonic repeatedly, no matter where he is in the world. Cream in particular has noted that Amy has a "Sonic Radar". This skill, in particular, seems to be based entirely on Amy's own finely-tuned feminine intuition. Supposedly, Amy is even able to "feel" where a person has been; during the Neo Metal Sonic incident, Amy even stated that she could sense that Chocola and Froggy were likely in Dr. Eggman's base in Rail Canyon.
Amy has steadily proven herself a very talented Extreme Gear rider. Though she did not make it to the finals during the first World Grand Prix, she had become so skilled at riding Extreme Gear at the time of the second World Grand Prix that she was able to compete against even the world's best Extreme Gear riders. While riding on an Extreme Gear, Amy is skillful enough to ride on rails, focus on opponents while remaining in control of her Extreme Gear, and pull off highly advanced tricks and techniques while in midair.
Among other things, Amy can also harness the power of the Chaos Emeralds to empower herself. She has also demonstrated curious abilities, such as being able to initiate a distant attack where she attacks opponents with hearts or turn herself invisible for a short time.
As seen during Dodon Pa's Grand Prix, Amy also has excellent skills when it comes to driving and racing in racecars like the Pink Cabriolet.
In the IDW Comics, Amy has very high physical strength, enough to wield her large Piko Piko Hammer with ease and swing it around with enough force to sent recipients flying through midair. Amy was even strong enough to lift an Egg Hammer's giant hammer, with only a little assistance from Silver's psychokinesis. She is also highly adapt and knowledgeable in the usage of her Piko Piko Hammer: with it, she can make offensive spins (similar to a spinning top), redirect midair projectiles with a single whack, and bounce off the ground in order to perform high jumps. She has also proven herself quite acrobatic.

Amy's trademark weapon is the tremor-inducing Piko Piko Hammer, a size-shifting hammer capable of dealing massive damage with no excessive effort, which she can call out from an unknown hiding spot. In Amy's hands, the Piko Piko Hammer is a powerful weapon that she uses to maintain her authority with. This allows her to strike fear into the hearts of even the fearless, such as Sonic. Though simple in function, Amy is highly adept at wielding it and uses it with proficiency second to none. She mainly uses it as a melee weapon in combat, but can also use it for improving her movements and performing long-ranged attacks. She can also use it to support her allies, for example by giving them an upward boost with a standard whack.

Amy is highly proficient in wielding her trademark Piko Piko Hammer, having been stated to be second to none when in control of it. With it, she is capable of destructive blows that can smash through robot armor or perform enhanced leaps. Using her Piko Piko Hammer, Amy can even pull off incredible, physics-defying feats, such as sustaining temporary flight by spinning her Piko Piko Hammer around like a propeller, stirring up tornado effects by swinging her Piko Piko Hammer around, execute mid-air jumps by setting off from hits in mid-air with her hammer, launch powerful shockwaves with a single swing, or create expanding domes of energy.
During the Emerl incident, Amy made use of explosive bombs wrapped tenderly in gift packs. Also during that time frame, she reveals to Cream, that she wears heavy weights around her arms, which serves as her bracelets, and legs, though they are unseen, all the time for training purposes, explaining Amy's great physical strength.
Amy is also skilled at cartomancy. Using her fortune-telling tarot cards, she has been able to predict the future to a certain degree. This has allowed her to deduce Sonic's location during the Little Planet incident and the Emerl incident.During the Starfall Islands incident, Amy also made use of her cards to provide information and guide her way in moments of cluelessness. She also uses them to attack her enemies, as a faster alternative to her hammer.

A weaker variant of the super transformation. Amy is capable of using this mode for a brief time on her own by drawing power from the Chaos Emeralds. In Hyper Mode, Amy's speed and attack power greatly increases.

By harnessing different variants of Hyper-go-on from Wisps, Amy can use specific Color Powers to transform into a certain form, such as a drill, a laser, or even a planet, each one possessing its own unique abilities. So far, Amy has been able to transform into the Cyan Laser, Yellow Drill, and Indigo Asteroid. However, these transformations require a steady supply of Hyper-go-on to be maintained.

By harnessing the power of all seven Chaos Emeralds, Amy can enter a Super State, transforming her into Super Amy. In this state, all of Amy's abilities far surpass her normal ones, with the addition of near-invulnerability. However, this transformation consumes a lot of energy and requires Rings to be maintained.
