The three branches of 

government are like a 

train because there are 

many parts to a train 

just like there are 

many parts to our 

Govt.

The passengers on the 

train are like the 

people   because they 

listen and follow the 

conductors 

instructions.

The train conductor is 

like the president 

because he controls 

everything and makes 

sure the people are 

safe.

The train carts 

symbolize the 

separation of powers 

because they all have 

different purposes and 

are separated.

Conductors Assistant is 

like the Checks and 

Balances because they 

keep everything 

managed and watch 

over things.

The Supreme Court is 

like the wheels because 

they keep everything 

rolling.

The constitution is like 

the train fuel because 

everyone feeds off of it 

and it is the base of 

everything to keep 

moving.

The engine represents 

the Congress because 

they make laws and 

keeps everything going 

just like the engine 

keeps the train going.

The Pullman is like the 

Executive branch because they 

carry out the laws like the 

pullman carry out the food and 

items to passengers.

The gears are like the 

Legislative Branch because 

they have to be working for the 

train to work so the conductor 

(President) makes sure they 

are working.

The Judicial Branch is like the 

trains oil because they work 

with the legislative branch 

(gears) to make the laws. 

Such as like oiling the gears. 

The oil also relates to the 

Conductor/President because 

the Judicial branch verifies the 

laws.

Independence hall is like the 

trains walk through, like to get 

to other parts on the train. Like 

the Independence hall was 

where most of our important 

documents were made.
