Once upon a time, there was a dragon……

Luna was different than other dragons. She had different scales, a different name, and a different personality. Most dragons had bright scales in colors of red, orange, yellow. But Luna had pale purple scales with streaks of royal blue. Most dragons had names like Canyon, or Sky, or Eagle. But not Luna. Most dragons were loud, rambunctious, and scary. Luna was shy, quiet, funny, and liked scrolls a lot. But she didn’t have any friends. Until Eclipse came.

Luna had been reading her favorite scroll, Strawberry Secret, when an other dragon tapped her on the shoulder. She tensed, ready for bullying, but the other dragon didn’t tease her. “May I sit here?” They asked, indicating the bench. “Sure?” Said Luna, scooting over. The other dragon smiled. As the dragon sat down, Luna looked at her scales, expecting a vibrant red, but instead saw something shocking! The dragon had green and black scales! “Hi,” said the dragon, “My name is Eclipse.”

Luna stared in shock. Another dragon like her? “W-who are you?” Luna stuttered. The other dragon smiled slightly. “I am from the Cool Tribe.”I believe you are too. What are you doing in the WarmTribe?” Eclipse continued.

Luna was confused. She knew she was in the WarmTribe, but she hadn’t heard of a CoolTribe. “Where does the CoolTribe live?” She asked.

“The mountains and a bit in the rainforest. There is also a village in the clouds.” Eclipse answered. 

Wow! It sounded like her dream. “Can I…. Go there?” “Sure! Follow me!” Eclipse grinned and took off flying. Luna hurried after her, a bit nervous. 

After flying for a bit. She entered the rainforest, and saw a village creep up on them. “Come on! Let’s go see the Queen! Eclipse shouted cheerfully. 

“Mom! I got her! Eclipse shouted into a giant treehouse. A regal dragon with pale gems glittering everywhere poked her head out. “Great, sweetie! Bring her here.” The dragon called. Eclipse swooped into the treehouse and Luna followed. “Um….” “Oh! You must be Luna. Sit down, sit down!” The dragon (queen?) grabbed a chair. “So, hi! I am Queen Solar. I see you have lived with the WarmTribe for the last…… five years.”
