A long time ago, two birds—a seagull and an albatross—were in love. They met over the winter when Alex, the albatross, migrated to a warm beach where Shelly, the seagull lived.

    Alex and Shelly were content, but albatrosses are meant to fly long distances and travel the ocean. One winter night, there was a cold snap, causing Alex's unused wings to freeze. 

    Shelly knew she had to help Alex, so she and her best friend Gary, the ghost crab, traveled to the Wise Frog for help. Shelly wasn't very brave, but she would be fearless for Alex.

    The Wise Frog told Shelly and Gary they needed to fight the Evil Eagle and take his special potion to unfreeze Alex's wings

Shelly and Gary traveled day and night to reach the Evil Eagle's lair deep in the jungle. Alex didn't have much time left.

They finally made it to the Evil Eagle's lair. Shelly tried to sneak by him while he was asleep, but he woke up and started fighting her. Shelly was weak from traveling and didn't stand a chance, though she fought courageously to buy Gary time.

    While the Evil Eagle was fighting Shelly, Gary was able to steal the potion. The distraught ghost crab buried his best friend's body after the Evil Eagle left to find food.

    Gary made the long journey home alone, the cost of the potion weighing heavily on his mind.
