According to Cattel's 16 personality factors test, I scored highest in apprehension. This depicts my internal struggles with worry, guilt, self-doubt, etc. High levels of apprehension imply that I am self-doubting and blaming, worried, prone to guilt, and insecure. Reflecting on these results, I cannot say I fully agree or disagree. I definitely see myself as the type of person who worries a lot. I spend a lot of time worrying about schoolwork, current responsibilities, my relationships, and my future. I often uphold the belief that “there's nobody to blame but myself” in relation to the outcome of certain situations. So, yes, I can be self-blaming at times, but I view this as holding myself accountable rather than blaming other factors as a defense mechanism. A big thing about these results that I disagree with is suggesting that I have self-doubt. I would like to say I have reasonable amount of confidence in my abilities. For example, getting through a hard assignment. Even when I am presented with a long and difficult task, I never doubt that it will successfully get done. Overall, while I don’t think that every aspect of this factor is accurate to who I am, there is a good amount that applies to me.
16 Personality Factor Test
According to the “big five” test, I score high in open-mindedness, conscientiousness, and emotional negativity. My open-mindedness score means that I value structure and familiarity while appreciating creativity. This applies to me because I love to create and think outside of the box. My hobbies include ways that I can express myself without simple words. Crocheting, drawing, painting, and music are all ways I channel my creativity. Creativity, structure, and familiarity makes it much easier to balance between what I enjoy and what must be done. My conscientiousness score means I value responsibility and efficiency while also being spontaneous at times. I agree with this because I think it is important to have responsibility in life, and I enjoy being able to efficiently handle these responsibilities. Keeping my room clean is one of my responsibilities, and when I can get it done and keep up with it I feel productive and accomplished. The third factor I am high in is negative emotions, meaning I often experience strong emotions and tend to feel stressed about challenges. This is true because when it comes to challenges, I tend to think too far ahead and overwhelm myself. When something causes me to feel an emotion, I tend to hold onto it and feel it deeper than others usually would. In contrast, I am low in extraversion; in other words, I am introverted. I definitely agree that certain social situations tend to drain my mental battery, and I often try to avoid them. In terms of agreeableness
Big 5 Personality Test
,I am in the middle. This means that I have a kind nature and I'm sympathetic but I also prioritize my own boundaries and needs. I think this is true; I always want to be kind towards others and be understanding of their situations, but I also think it's important that I'm kind to myself. Sometimes, being kind to myself means putting my boundaries first in certain situations, but always in a way that doesn’t have a negative impact on others. Overall, this test was surprisingly very accurate, and I feel that my scores display what traits make up my personality.
