Tourism is celebrated in the month of November in Guyana every year. I understand tourism to be the showcase of our country’s culture, customs, heritage, scenes and beauty for others to see and learn. There are different types of tourists: regional tourists, local  tourists and international tourists. When people come to Guyana from the Caribbean they are called regional tourists. I am a local tourist because I travel from one part of Guyana to another. There are also international tourists. International tourists are people from places such as  New York and other places outside of the Caribbean.  

 I recommend people to visit Essequibo Coast because it is the best Tourist destination in Guyana. There are many beautiful places to visit and the food is amazing food. Essequibo is famous for its  curry.
