Roller Blades, one of the most delightful thing in my world. My name is Malia and my favourite activity is roller blading. I dreamt about having a roller blade and rolling as fast as lightning in the park for leisure. On Monday, the third of July,2023, my aunt Lisa was my life saver because she bought a rollerblade for me, it had a lots of safety equipment like gloves, knee pad, elbow pad and helmet. I don't care, I told myself, I will learn to roller blade.

 First, I started on the carpet and by time the day was gone I could roller skate on the carpet.  I felt proud of myself and felt like *blowing my own trumpet, 

Feeling happy, I marched downstairs and skated. Days later, I could roller skate on the concrete. Then I went on the driveway and since it was slanted, I had trouble stopping. I’m still practicing on that. Finally, I went around in circles on the concrete.

 *Idiom means boasting about yourself.

 Skating was a spectacular thing, and I particularly enjoy skating on weekends.  

It was fun rolling around the place and trying to stop rolling. I fell a lot of times, but it was okay because it was my first time trying to roller skate. When I skate my friend Angel would watch me like a hawk that spotted its food. 

It gives a feeling like a free bird flying in the wind without a care in the world and then a predator came, which is Angel, to try and eat me.

I practiced and practiced and practiced. One glorious Sunday morning, my mother told me I could finally roller blade in the park. I was overwhelmed with joy. I clambered into the car with my headphones and my mom's phone and rushed to put on my roller blades. The music in my ear, the feeling in my feet, the air in my hair, I felt magnificent. Never had I ever experienced that feeling before, it felt as though I was floating on air. With my mind on nothing else I sped through the park at the *speed of light seeing everything go past with a blur. 

* Hyperbole- you can't go at the speed of light, can you?
