High school education in Siret began in 1899 with a single class taught in German, consisting of 39 students. After the Great Union of 1918, the German high school was transformed into a Romanian state high school. In 1936, the high school was named Lațcu Vodă, operating as a normal school and then a technical school of economic administration until 1955.In 1956, the Siret Theoretical High School was founded, which had the status of a mixed secondary school, also having classes taught in Ukrainian, classes that operated until 1964.

Between 1964 and 1977, the high school was called the Siret Real Humanist High School, operating with 3-4 parallel classes.
In 1977, by merging with the Professional Driving School (with a tradition of over 25 years) with a schooling duration of between 6-12 months (then transformed into a 2-year vocational school), the Automotive Industrial High School was established, which operated under the tutelage of the Ministry of Transport.
After 1989, the changes in Romanian society also left their mark on education. Thus, in addition to the basic specialization (automotive electromechanics), 2 classes per series of theoretical education were established (a mathematics-physics class and a philology class).
In 1995, at the celebration of 125 years of education in Siret, the old name of LAȚCU VODĂ was returned to as a sign of continuity and tradition, a name under which we still operate today.
