April 14, 1912: The water was murky, and you couldn’t see 100 feet in front of you. In the birds' nest, you could see 500 feet. The boat floated smoothly on the water. All you could hear was the cool winds blowing. You heard a little mumble from the birds nest and a bell ringing, but you didn’t know what was happening. At 11:40 PM, there was a crashing sound. Ice was coming out of nowhere. Then you look up and you see an iceberg. You're processing what just happened, then you put the pieces

Together, the  RMS Titanic just hit an iceberg. You can’t move cause you're in shock at what just happened. Then you're shaking, and you can move now. You see kids playing with the ice. You smell something, but it’s not familiar. There's a subtle smell of some sort of metal. Probably from the iceberg scraping the outside metal. Then it looks like the ocean is getting closer, or are we sinking? We're sinking by the minute. Then you think, I need to get off this boat.
