阿山今年十歲，住在偏遠地區，他很活潑也很懂事。

Ashan is ten years old and lives in a remote area. He is very lively and understanding.

他經常路過學校，而且趴在圍牆外看著裡面的小朋友玩耍。

He often passes by the school and lounges outside the wall, watching the children inside play.

有一天，裡面的老師發現了。

One day, the teacher inside discovered.

老師說：想要一起進來玩嗎？

Teacher said: Want to come in and play together?

阿山點頭，並說道我到現在還不知道上學是什麼感覺。

Ashan nodded and said, "I still don't know what it's like to go to school."

老師問：看你這個年紀跟學校裡的小朋友差不多，為什麼沒有上學呢？

The teacher asked: Given that you're about the same age as a child at school, why haven't you gone to school?

阿山：我們家很窮，沒錢讓我讀書。

Ashan: Our family is very poor and can't afford for me to go to school.

老師問：那你沒上學都在做什麼呢？

The teacher asked: So, what were you doing when you weren't going to school?

阿山：平常我會自己到市集，去幫人家擦皮鞋。

Ashan: I usually go to the market by myself to help people polish their shoes.

老師說：那你想要上學嗎？

Teacher asked: Do you want to go to school?

阿山說：可是我一早就要去市集賺錢，家裡才有錢買食物。

Ashan said: But I have to go to the market early to make money, and that's when the family can afford to buy food.

老師詢問阿山：你想參觀校園嗎？

The teacher asked Ashan: Do you want to visit the campus?

阿山立馬回答：想！！

Ashan immediately replied: Want to! ！
