Next came Sean from across the street. “Nice
shoes!” exclaimed Sean. “I want to buy these
shoes, Ralph.”
“Great, the shoes are 50 cents” said Ralph.
Sean gave Ralph 5 dimes. Ralph knew each
dime was worth 10 cents. He counted each
dime carefully. Ralph know that 5 dimes equal
50 cents. “Thank you, Sean” said Ralph.



























Mr. Peabody came next and bought the hat.
“That will be 60 cents” said Ralph. “Great
price!” said Mr. Peabody as he handed Ralph 60
pennies. “Wow” thought Ralph. He had never
seen that many pennies before. He knew each
penny was worth 1 cent. He counted each coin
and had a total of 60 cents. Ralph handed Mr.
Peabody the hat and thanked him.
