This is my sister. Her name is Alissia. That means 'good' and 'kind'. She's the best sister ever... my most favourite sister in the whole entire world!

Alissia always plays with me. We play with dolls, and we play tag.

We dance, and we play hide-and-seek - she's always hard to find, she finds all the best hiding spots! We play arts and crafts; I always make a mess with the glitter... oops!...

Alissia also helps me with my homework. She's a really good teacher, and NEVER gets angry when I don't understand.

My sister taught me how to ride my bike without the training wheels. I'm still a bit wobbly sometimes!

I love my sister and she loves me. We make a great team!

My sister is a little bit different to a lot of other people though...

Every morning when she wakes up, and every night just before she goes to bed, she has to take some pills - a special medication.

She has something called Bipolar disorder.

Sometimes Bipolar disorder can do funny things to Alessia's brain - she can get very sad and want to be alone.

She doesn't want to play with me or help me with my homework.

She gets sick and weak, and needs to be by herself.

On the other hand, sometimes Bipolar disorder can make Alissia VERY energetic. She hardly sleeps and has TONS of ideas that she wants to do all at once.

I can't keep up with her!
