Today is the day that Raquel is 

going to the beach with her 

family. 

She is worried because she is 

scared of having to go into the 

ocean. 

After a long drive, they get to the 

beach. 

Raquel makes sand castles all 

morning, but never goes near the sea. 

Just as she was feeling 

relieved, her two older 

brothers carry her into 

the cold ocean. 

Just when she thought she 

was safe from having to go 

into the sea, her older brother 

pulls her along into it. 

She closes her eyes, and 

waits for a shark or a 

three-eyed monster to 

bite her. Or even worse,  

for a creepy jellyfish that 

will sting her. 

Something touches her 

leg, and Raquel screams! 

“Don’t worry, it’s 

nothing that will harm 

you, see it for 

yourself,” David, his 

brother, tells her as he 

hands over the 

snorkeling gear.
