"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."
Les Brown

The year is 2040…
Mr. Rorck looked up from his desk. “Apollo, your opinion?”
Apollo stated. “I think we should explore Earth I.” A student shouted. “Why would anyone go there?” Mr. Rorck raised his hand . “Quiet. Apollo, explain.”
Apollo looked around the room. “Earth I was beautiful — seasons, forests, clean air." he said. "Animals lived everywhere. We only have pictures now.”
A student blurted out, “It was destroyed in World War Three!”
Apollo shook his head gently. “The damage started long before the war.”
Apollo tapped the screen. “If we return, we can test the soil and rocks," he explained Global warming was happening long before the war. Pollution, chemicals, and overuse of resources hurt the planet.”

Apollo pointed to the hologram. “Cars, factories, and machines made too much smoke," he said. People used too much electricity. Glaciers melted. Oceans rose. Even insects like fireflies disappeared.”
Apollo lifted his chin. “If we understand Earth I’s mistakes, we can protect Earth II, he said. "Clean energy, less pollution, more trees, and recycling. All of it matters.”
Mr. Rorck folded his arms thoughtfully. “Interesting theory, Apollo. But Earth I is off‑limits without the President’s approval.”
Apollo straightened his posture. “Then let’s request permission.”
Juniper raises her hand, her pink glasses catching the light. “I already drafted a letter. Your theory checks out.”
Juniper lifted her hand. “Earth I had melting glaciers, polluted air, trash‑filled oceans, and sea animals that went extinct," she said softly. "I wrote the President.” The classroom erupted with gasps and whispers.
