Benny didn't exactly want to move, his friends back home were everything he could ask for! And after his tennis ball catastrophe, he didn't want to do anything.
You say you don't know what happened to Benny's toy? Well, I'll tell you the story, it goes like this.
One day, a very bright and sunny day, Benny was playing with Thomas, his very best friend. Thomas, the Saint Bernard, was very shy, and big! But Benny was friendly, and they got along very very well. Thomas and Benny were at the dog park, playing with their toys, when suddenly, Benny's ball rolled away, down the hill, and
SPLASH! Into the stream it went, floating away down the bank. Benny was very sad that day, and a few days later, they moved! It couldn't have been a worse week for Benny. The only good part of it was Benny's bed. It was comfy to him, but that was the only spot he would go, other then outside, and to his food bowls. Every single place in the house except for Benny's warm bed, was cold!
It was a Tuesday today, so Benny's owner had work to do. He left at 6:00 in the morning, so Benny was very lonely. Until, a frisky orange cat came jumping in Benny's yard!
He started growling, even though he knew it was a little mean. The cat came to the window, and Benny could smell her from the window, she smelled like a soft, warm, pillow. He barked, "What's your name?" The cat answered, "Frisky! What's yours?" she said, in a high voice. Benny was surprised! She looked very frisky, and that was her name!
"My name's Benny," he said, a smile slowly spread across his face.
A couple hours later, they were still talking, when Benny's owner, Nick, pulled up in his driveway. He hopped out of his car, and noticed the Frisky, orange, striped cat.
"Well hello!" he said, "what's your name?"
That's when a ghost-faced lady came running down the sidewalk with high heels.
"Oh dear! Where in the world are you Frisky?!" she said, then glanced at Nick, then Benny, and finally Frisky. "Oh!" she gasped, "Frisky! Oh I'm so glad to see you!" she exclaimed.
"Hello!" Nick said, waving. "I just got back from work and noticed these two, staring at each other in the window!" Then, he let Benny out, and Benny went into a frantic sniffing attack, while the cat meowed, and was picked up by her owner. "I'm Nick," he said, stretching out a hand to shake. The lady walked towards him, and gave him a whiff of her perfume.
