Different is beautiful 

Clairo's painting didn't look like anyone  else's, and that made her happy. Different wasn't just okay it was beautiful.

Clairo loved painting more than anything. 

She always wondered what would happen if she mixed new colors or tried new shapes. She loved adding fun patterns and paper-cutout shapes to her backgrounds. Clairo was curious about everything she could create.

Today was art day, and Clairo couldn't wait. The art room was full of bright colors and busy hands.

Ms. Luna stood at the front with a warm smile. She told the class they would paint something special today.

Clairo's eyes lit up. She already had ideas swirling in her mind. 

Clairo dipped her brush into bright colors and began her picture. Her lines were sketchy and fun, and her colors popped like confetti.

Next to her, another student painted a smooth, perfect  sunset.

Clairo glanced at the sunset painting, then looked back at her own and felt her smile fade. The sunset next to hers looked so neat and perfect. Her colors were wild and messy. Maybe her art was too different, she thought. She stared at her painting quietly, wondering if she should start over.
