CHAPTER 1

The Day Before

    "Go Peanut Go!" I shouted. We were coming home from the last pole. "23.8" called the announcer, "+5". I had hit a pole. "Dang it!" I said. Mom said it was ok, but I knew I could have done better. 

    My name is Harper Wilson. I am the rider of Peanut. Coree Lynn Constable is the owner of him. Peanut is a very cool pony, and I'm so blessed to swing a leg over him. Peanut is not mine he is Coree's. I get to compete on him. He is no ordinary pony! Peanut was good on Saturday but everything changed Sunday...

CHAPER 2

The Vet

     "Err" Dad was hooking up the trailer. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Peanut is colicing " Dad said. "Where is he?" I questioned. Mom was walking him around. I ran over to Eric Whipple, my neighbor, and asked him if he was ok. Mom was walking him in a circle. "SCREECH!!!" Dad was pulling up the truck. We are taking him to the vet he said. "Can I come?" I asked. "Hop in" Dad said "We will learn about colic on the way."

We  got to the vet and Peanut had not pooped. We got out of the truck and opened the gate to the trailer. We got him out of the trailer and brought him into Dr.  Arnolds. They tubbed him, ran blood, and sent us home.

Chapter 3

At Home 

    We took the drive home, pulled in, and unloaded him from the trailer. He acted like he was going to fall over so Dad told me to walk him. He started acting normal, so I walked him on the concrete and he almost fell over again. We wanted to check how much water he drank,so we put two buckets in his stall filled to the top. I was getting tired, but Peanut was still wanting to fall over. I asked Dad if he could walk him. I went inside. It was 10 o’clock and I was ready for bed, but I still wanted to check on Peanut. I went out there and Dad was walking him in the arena. "How is he?" I asked. "Not good." Dad said. Dad had a look like he was about to load him up and go back to the vet.

CHAPTER 4

The Bet

    While I was sleeping, Dad took Peanut back to the vet.
