To those who came back

Chapter 1
"So what's going on today?" Dahee asked as all the girls sat down on the rug in the living room, eating breakfast.
"I have some meetings that I need to go to." Sori said. "I'm going to schedule some live performances. But only I need to go."
"I don't think there's anything else going on today other than that." Kwan said, blowing on her noodles.
"Well, then that settles that!" Dahee said, clapping her hands together exsidedly.
"What does it settle?" Jeong asked softly, looking over at Dahee, who was sitting next to her.
"You all can play Super Smash Bros with me!" Dahee answered
"Can you play this time, Jeong-ya?" Dahee asked Jeong, turning to her.
"No, sorry." Jeong said. "You know I'm not that good at it. And I thought of something to draw."
"OK!" Dahee said, smiling. "But you have to show me it when your done drawing it!"
"Deal." Jeong said, smiling softly as Dahee turned on the game and handed everyone their controllers.
Chapter 2
"Bye, girls!" Sori called as she walked out the door. "I'll be back for dinner!"
"Bye, Sori!" The other girls called back to her.
"Maybe get some takeout on your way back!" Dahee yelled. Sori laughed.
"I might!" Sori said.
"You'd better!" Dahee yelled. "Or I'm going to eat your favorite sticky rice cakes!" Sori gasped.
"You would never!" She laughed.
"Oh, yes I would!" Dahee called, laughing evily.
"OK, OK, OK, I'll get takeout!" Sori yelled, laughing, stepping out and closing the door behind her.
"Wow, Dahee-ah." Jeong joked quietly.
"I know." Dahee said. "Your welcome for guaranteeing us takeout for dinner tonight."
"Yeah. Thanks." Jeong said, laughing softly, continuing to draw.
"What are you drawing?" Dahee asked, trying to peer over her shoulder.
"You'll see when its done." Jeong replied quietly. "Focus on your game for now. You have a winning streak to withhold."
"Ah! Good point!" Dahee said, jumping up and looking at the screen again.
A few minutes later, after five more rounds, (Dahee winning every single one of them) the other girls congratulated Dahee and said they were going to go get some dance practice in.
"We should probably get some practice in too, Jeong-ya."
Dahee said, sitting next to her, their sholders pressed together. "Are you done?"
"Almost," Jeong whispered. She added the final touch to her drawing, then tilted it so Dahee could see.
Dahee's breath caught in her throat.
It was a stunningly realistic drawing of her. She had a large heart surrounding her, and she was smiling.
"Wow, Jeong-ya." Dahee said softly, her finger tracing the heart surounding her on the drawing. "That's beautiful."
"Well," Jeong whispered, smiling shyly. "I did draw you."
"Aw, your the best!" Dahee said, blushing, wraping her arms around Jeong and squeezing her tightly. Jeong laughed softly and sqeezed Dahee back.
"Thanks," Jeong whispered. "But we probably should get up
go practice with the other girls."
"Ten minutes at most, Jeong-ya." Dahee said, her voice muffled by Jeong's shirt. "Please?"
"Fine." Jeong huffed, smiling. "Ten minutes."
Chapter 3
"It's been ten minutes, Dahee-ah." Jeong's quiet voice said. "Time to wake up." Dahee blinked open her eyes and saw Jeong's face.
"Mmm." Dahee mumbled, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "But we where suposed to relax today." Just as Dahee said this, the other girls walked back into the room, talking and laughing.
"Well, there you girls are!" Kwan said, seeing them and smiling. "Sori just texted. She said she's almost back."
"With takeout?!" Dahee said, the spark returning to her eyes as she sat up.
"With takeout." Kwan said, nodding and laughing.
"Jeong-ya, you let me sleep for more than ten minutes, didn't
you?" Dahee asked, turning to Jeong, smiling.
"Okay, yes, I might have." Jeong admitted quietly, smiling softly. "You just looked so peaceful. I didn't want to wake you up."
"Well, thanks," Dahee said, giving her a quick hug. "You helped me skip out on dance practice." The front door opened.
"I'm back!" Sori yelled, walking in.
"FOOD!" Dahee screamed, jumping off the couch and running out to Sori.
"안녕하세요 to you, too." Sori laughed, handing Dahee a paper bag. She set the other bags down on the counter and the other girls came and grabbed their food.
After dinner, Jeong walked into her and Dahee's room. Dahee was already in her pajamas, a large hoodie and gray pants. She was crying.
"Dahee-ah, what is it?" Jeong asked quietly, dropping her drawing pad on Dahee's bed and walking over to her, dropping to her knees and wrapping her arms around Dahee.
Dahee sobbed into her shoulder, lifting a shaking hand to show a piece of paper to Jeong. Jeong gasped softly. It wasn't just a piece of paper. It was a picture of Byeol, obviously taken by Kim. Byeol was sitting at her desk, headphones on, a pencil in her hand, her dark hair pulled back into a tight ponytail. Her eyes were closed, and she was smiling softly.
"Oh, Dahee-ah, where did you find this?" Jeong asked, wrapping her arms around Dahee and gently rocking her back and forth.
"I...was looking for one of my notebooks..." Dahee sobbed. "And this fell out of one of my old ones..."
"Shh, Dahee-ah, shh." Jeong whispered soothingly. "I know it hurts, but she's never truly gone." Jeong stood up and helped Dahee sit on the edge of her bed. Jeong grabbed her drawing pad and her pencil. She flipped to an empty page and started drawing. "Do you remeber the big jacket Byeol used to wear when it was cold?" Dahee laughed softly.
"Yeah." She said. "She looked like a big marshmellow."
"She did." Jeong agreed softly, continueing to draw. As she drew, she talked about Byeol. Dahee watched her draw and listened, crying softly. When Jeong finished the drawing, she quietly set down the pencil.
"Thank you, Jeong-ya." Dahee whispered, smiling through her tears, her fingers gently tracing the drawing of Byeol. After a silent moment, a creative spark glowed in Dahee's eyes, and she
reached and grabbed her notebook off of the nightstand. She opened a new page and started writing:
'Til I find myself in conversation, fading to gray
The way you smiled, the way you walked
The time you took to teach me all that you had taught
Please tell me, how am I supposed to move on?
Wishing you were around but now it's too late
My mind is a place that I can't escape your ghost
One more rainy day without you
Sometimes I wish that I could see you one more day
One more rainy day
I've tried to put this all behind me
I think I was a wreck all along
Yeah, I'm a wreck
But everything, it reminds me of you and it comes in waves
The way you laughed, and your shoulders shook
The time you took to teach me all that you had taught
Tell me, how am I supposed to move on?
Wishing you were around but now it's too late
My mind is a place that I can't escape your ghost
Sometimes I wish that I could wish it all away
One more rainy day without you
Sometimes I wish that I could see you one more day
Yeah, I'm a wreck since you've been gone
I've tried to put this all behind me
I think I was a wreck all along
Remember the words that you said
Remember the life you had
You'd say, "Oh, keep your head up, don't get stuck in the mud
Thinkin' of things that you should have done"
I'll see you again one day
Yeah, I'm a wreck
I've tried to put this all behind me
I think I was a wreck all along (I'm a wreck)
Yeah, I'm a wreck
One more rainy day without you (one more rainy day)
Sometimes I wish that I could see you one more (day but I can't)
One more rainy day
"Oh, Dahee-ah." Jeong whispered, reading the lyrics. "That's... so beautiful. So heartbreaking."
"I know." Dahee whispered, sobbing quietly. She looked at Jeong. "I thought of the melody to it."
"Sing it to me?" Jeong whispered. Dahee nodded and started singing quietly. The melody was heartbraking, healing, heavy and light at the same time. After Dahee finished, Jeong looked at her,
tears in her eyes. "Dahee-ah, we need to record this tomorrow."
"Agreed," Dahee said, laughing softly, wiping the tears from her cheeks. "Tomorrow. Whenever we first can. Acoustic." Jeong nodded. She put her drawing pad and Dahee's notebook on her desk. She put a blanket over Dahee and squeezed her hand gently.
"안녕히 주무세요, Dahee-ah." Jeong whispered. She squeezed Dahee's hand one more time and then slid into her own bed.
"안녕히 주무세요." Dahee whispered back.
Chapter 4
The next afternoon, Dahee and Jeong found an empty room where the rest of noise was muted. Jeong set up her phone so it could see them both. She looked at Dahee, her finger hovering over the recording button.
"Ready?" Jeong asked quietly. Dahee nodded. "OK. Go." Jeong started playing her guitar. Dahee sang, Jeong quietly harmonizing with her on notes. When the song finished, Dahee whispered,
"다시 만나자, 스타. 사랑해." Dahee whispered, a tear running down her cheek. Jeong leaned over and stopped the video. She turned back to Dahee and set down her guitar next to her and wrapped her arms around Dahee.
"That was perfect, Dahee-ah." Jeong whispered. "You ready to post it?" Dahee nodded. Jeong opened her YouTube account and added the video, naming it, Wreck By Dahee & Jeong. "Now," Jeong said, standing up and reaching out a hand to help Dahee up, smiling softly. "Let's go get some lunch, Dahee-ah." Dahee took Jeong's hand and stood up, keeping her hand tightly holding onto Jeong's.
"Sounds good to me." Dahee said, smiling as they walked out into the hallway.
Chapter 5
They walked into the kitchen and found the rest of the girls waiting there.
"Their are our superstars," Sori said, handing each of them a bowl of Bibimbap. "I saw the video. It was amazing. Well done."
"Thanks," Dahee said, grinning, already shoveling the food into her mouth. "Speaking of which, Jeong-ya? Can you check how many views it's gotten?"
"Not yet," Jeong said softly. "We'll just wait an hour or two."
"WHAT?!" Dahee screamed, flopping over dramaticly onto Jeong's sholder. "AND HOUR OR TWO?! Jeong-ya, I'm going to be DEAD by then!"
"OK, we'll check after lunch." Jeong said, laughing.
