In the lab we always wear safety goggles, hair tied back, closed toe shoes, gloves, and a lab coat.

is for Broken Equipment.

In the lab we never use broken or chipped glassware. If you break something immediately report it to the teacher.

is for Chemicals

In the lab we never mix chemicals without the teacher's permission,  we never smell a chemical directly and we never taste a chemical unless instructed to do so by a teacher. 

is for Disposal

In the lab we properly dispose of all chemicals and materials. Glass goes into the cardboard glass box and chemicals never go in the drain they go in the teacher directed bin.

In the lab it is important to always wear your safety goggles to avoid chemicals or other substances getting in your eyes. If something gets in your eyes head to the nearest eyewash.

is for Flames

In the lab we never reach across a flame. We always point a test tube away from you and others when heating in over a flame.

is for Goggles

In the lab goggles are an important safety gear. We wear goggles to prevent chemicals and other substances from getting in your eyes.

is for Horseplay

In the lab we never run or push others. We are always focused and aware of our surroundings.

is for Injury

In the lab we always follow safety rules and teacher instructions to prevent injuries.

is for Junk

In the lab we always keep our work area clean and avoid having any unnecessary "junk" in are work area.

is for Kit

In the lab we should always know where the first aid and safety kit are. If something goes wrong time is of the essence.

is for Lids

In the lab always keep lids on bottles and containers when not in use. This will prevent spills and contamination.

is for Mask

In the lab a mask can be worn as a form of PPE when working with materials that may require it.

is for Never

In the lab there are many things we never do such as

* Never reach across a flame

* Never look directly into a test tube when mixing chemicals.

* Never smell a chemical directly from a container

* Never taste a chemical unless instructed to by a teacher

* Never dump a chemical or substance down a drain.

is for Obey

In the lab we always obey our teacher and safe procedures. This includes wearing safety equipment, knowing where and how to use safety equipment like fire extinguishers and blankets and obeying all safety rules.

is for  PPE

In the lab we always have proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) on. Proper lab attire like a lab coat and safety goggles ensures a safe lab.
