There once was a very happy monkey living a wonderful life in the
middle of Tanzania. He loved to swing from tree to tree and find as many
bananas as he could. He would love to meet up with his friends and family
while swingin' around in the rain forest.

The monkeys were casually swinging from trees, when a zookeeper came and
caught one in a net. The monkeys were terrified and were screaming! The
monkey didn't want to be separated from his mother and friends and he was
terrified.

No! Don't take
me away!

The monkey arrived at the San Diego Zoo and was immediately put into his
shelter. He was given the name Carlos. He was there so that all the little kids
could look at him and admire him.

Carlos was introduced by the zookeeper to all the children and parents who
came to the zoo that day and they were all excited to see the newest
addition!

Meet Carlos. He was “saved” by the zookeepers
from Tanzania. He feels so much better in San
Diego because he has room to roam, friends, food,
and caretakers.

The children were all excited to see the new monkey that came all the way from
such a far place. They were disappointed because Carlos looked depressed and
wouldn't perform any tricks. They cried, complained, and ran off to the next animals.

The zookeepers were very unhappy with the way that Carlos was acting in front
of the children and guests, so they gave him antidepressants to make him seem
"happier" to be at the zoo. They sneaked the pills in one of his bananas.

One man noticed the zookeeper sneaking pills into Carlos's food and was astonished!
He immediately thought about how horrible it was to do to the poor monkey. He realized
the life that the monkey had to live and how immoral it was. He thought to himself,
"How horrible would it be if I was that monkey and was forced to take these pills?"

Stop zoos! Do you know what zoo corporations have
been doing to animals? These animals are taken
from their families and given drugs so that they
appear happy. They even kill the animals! God
does not want us to do this! No one does!

The sailor left and looked online to research more about the life that the monkey was currently
living in the zoo. He saw that all the animals were stripped from their families in other countries
and that their happy faces were just a disguise. The animals were so mistreated and he found
many different cases of animal abuse at zoos: some animals suffer from claustrophobia since their
shelters are too small, some are insufficiently fed and therefore die, and there was even one case in
which a giraffe was killed and fed to another animal because it wasn't "useful anymore"! The sailor
decided that he needed to make a change and put a stop to zoos by spreading the word!

“Wow, I don’t
want to go to
the zoo anymore.”

“Yeah, I don’t want
to support animal
abuse.”

“The Church teaches us to respect and
care for ALL of God’s creation. I think
the commandment, 'Thou shall not kill'
applies to animals too!"

“Animals are part of our environment,
and we have to protect them from abuse,
just as God wants us to.”

“Though we love to go to the zoo, we need to
put things into perspective, just like how Mary
accepted Jesus’s mission of the Church.”

After hearing what the sailor had to say, all the people who usually went to the
zoo helped to spread awareness because they were so angry about this animal
abuse. They refused to go to the zoo and told everyone else not to go either.

The Beatitudes explain that those who are
pure in heart will see God in heaven. We
should follow animals and be pure so we see
God too.

Now that the sailor had all this support from his community, he decided
to start his own charity called Stop The Zoos And Stop Animal Abuse!
He collected money to support suffering animals in danger and to spread the
word about the horrible effects of zoos. By starting his charity he was doing service
justice to his community.

DONATIONS

We need to be like Mary in the doctrine, "Our Knowledge
of Mary", treating animals like our children and protecting
them. Please help with any donations! It says, "We have seen
Mary making use of all the rights of a Mother in regard to
her Son, Who is our God, and sharing, if we may be
permitted to say so, with the Eternal Father parental claims
over the Uncreated Word." We use this as an example to
protect the rights of all God's creatures.
